Lily's POVI couldn't help but wander around the entire mansion, admiring it all the while. Every single room was much more beautiful than the previous one. As I once again made my way in the lounge, I was just about to sit down on the big couch when I heard the huge wooden front doors opening themselves.I thought they were locked. Before I could've reacted, I saw someone walking in; a girl dressed in a short fitted dress with some very high heels. Looking at her, I immediately thought of Carla—Ace's so called girlfriend. But then I realised that this girl looked nothing like her. She was beautiful, but she didn't have that...mean aura around her. She was looking at me and smiling. I suppose Carla couldn't ever do that.Did she seem to know me even when I didn't know her mere name? She stopped few feet away from me."You must be Ace's girlfriend!" She squealed quite loudly, the excitement pretty obvious from her face.If that sentence hadn't been so nerve wrecking, I would've probab
Lily's POVIt was the busy view of London that graced my sight, right as I woke up the next morning--thanks to the giant glass windows in my room. It was warm in here, under the large duvet, but out there I knew it was a cold day.I sat up and tried rubbing off the sleep from my eyes.It had been exhausting, the party last night. I didn't even remember when I came back here with Ace (probably after midnight). And now it was morning. Too soon. Mornings just came too fast.Deciding to just suck it up, I got up from the nice, warm bed and went ahead to take a shower. It was a loud ringing sound that I heard right as I exited the bathroom. I stepped outside of my room in the long empty hallway leading to the lounge and looked around for the source of the ringing.Wrapping my arms around myself, I stopped near the couch and saw the landline ringing. Clearly, no one was coming to pick it up (there were no signs of Ace anywhere--well, except for his thrown jacket on one end of the couch), so
Lily's POV:Though it was sad leaving the London atmosphere, I still felt happy and relaxed as we reached back to New York. Well, that's why they say, home sweet home. The very odd thing was that Ace just changed into his usual self once again and just as we arrived, went back to his dearest work. I guess we were back to our old selves again.I'd define it as,Old boring selves.I was tired of doing nothing once again. It was almost more than half month since I had agreed to his deal, and I was tired of going around each hall everyday trying to pass my time. I swear, if anyone asks me about this whole apartment, I could even tell slightest detail of each wall.Either that, or I spend my time sleeping.Today, I was getting furious of this boring day. So, I decided to do something. I was going through some usual posts on my instagram when I saw a beautiful drawing made by someone. And then I got an idea. Why don't I spend my time painting? To be honest, painting and sketching was on the
Lily's POV:My head ached. And when I said ached, I meant needles banging through my skull. It felt like huge rocks were dumped on my head with sharp edges.I slowly sat up on my bed and took my throbbing head in my hands. Slowly, my vision came back to normal as I saw morning light pouring through the window in my room. Why does my head ache?I thought for a moment which was quite hard. You know, searching in your already painful brain is hard. My mind drifted off to yesterday.I had gone to buy some art supplies...then ended up meeting Daniel...then went with him to a bar...He had left all of a sudden. I had started feeling strange and then, I just don't remember much. Some bits. Like I remember being dragged out of the bar. And I also remember sitting down and leaning my head against a wall. But not much. What did happen?I stood up with my pounding head and went out. Nobody was out in the lounge. I didn't even know who to ask. I just remember seeing Daniel, and I don't know why b
Ace's POV:"What do you want me to do?" I asked looking at Zack.He had been a serious pain in the ass this morning. I had thought I might start a fresh new day only to get him in my office. But on the other hand, this person is my best friend. Who actually knows everything. Everything I know."All I want you to do is give me that pen!" He said, whining like a child.I looked at him with a frown."I'm not going to give you that pen." I stated. He jumped up and looked at me like he was going to throw off a big tantrum."Why do you want it anyways?" I asked, leaning back on my chair. He shrugged and sat down again."Because I really like it." He said. What the heck?"And what makes you think I'm giving it to you?" I asked raising one of my brows."I thought we were friends!" He said.I took out my pen and threw at him."You're such a pain." I said with a glare.Instead, he just smiled and twirled the pen in his hand. That's why he was my friend. The one who I could actually trust. Becau
Lily's POV:"Your Grandparent's house is here, Ms Willows." The driver said, stopping the car.I peeked outside and felt my heart leap out in relief. And excitement. Relief, because the house didn't change since I left. And excitement, because I was feeling like the most happiest person on earth. Not forever, sadly. But for just a visit. The day before yesterday, Ace and I have made an agreement that I could visit my grandparents house once a week.Well, that was before yesterday.I haven't waited for his orders this morning and just left with a driver who had been waiting in the parking lot.Maybe Ace did send him.Whatever it was, it was clear that he didn't want to see me and the feelings were kind of mutual. I thanked the driver and exited the car. The familiar scenery came into my view and it felt like I was back in time.I went forward towards the door and smiled as I rang the bell. I haven't told Grandma that I was coming. I just wanted to surprise her. After the second bell, t
Lily's POV:After my letter encounter, I had been pretty much lost in thoughts the whole day. Grandma had noticed my hesitation while we were having lunch."What's bothering you, dear?" She asked looking at me with a furrow between her brows. I quickly plastered the most fake smile on my face and had shook my head."Nothing. Just sad that I'll be leaving in a while." I said looking at my plate while taking a bite. The food was tasty. But just as the thought of those letters touched my head, the food felt like heavy stones in my stomach. So, I did what was the best to do at that moment. I kept aside the whole incident and tried to enjoy the little time left with my grandma."Have you been looking forward to your next year and studies?" She asked looking at me. The last thing I want to think about are studies. I have more important stuff than studies."Not yet." I sighed."And have you been in contact with your friends?" She asked. Why was this coming all of a sudden?"I talk to Stella
Lily's POV:Tick-tock. Tick-tock. Tick-tock.Sun was rising slowly spreading a morning glow through the window. It's morning. And I was still in the same position, looking at the clock. I was so tired but still didn't want to sleep. I was so thirsty but still didn't want to stand up. I wanted to stay still.Maybe I was thinking that staying still would stop the time somehow and I wouldn't have to think about anything. Everything.Eventually, my stillness was interrupted when somebody came barging inside my room."Here you are! If you wouldn't have been here, honest to God, I would've gone completely nuts. I don't even know why he made this apartment so huge with so many long silent hallways which you can't get through without screaming your lungs off for help. Thank God, I met that girl, Sofia. She was so nice and told me the whole way to your room and of course, I loved her skirt. It was that one, you remember? The one I so loved but-Lily? Are you even listening to what I am saying?"
