Forty Three

Alice

I woke up only to find myself lying helplessly on the bed. My eyes were so heavy that I couldn't see clearly at first. A loud ring sounded on my head, I clutch the bed sheets tightly. I tried recalling things but now my mind was blank.

I looked around the place, I was really in the hospital. But how come? What happened? Even at that I couldn't explain the full force that had knocked me unconscious.

Right now, I had woken up to a weak body, and it was obvious that I hadn't regained my strength. I glanced beside the bed, I was all alone with no one beside me. My hands were injected with a syringe, the clothes I had on had been changed. How severe was the illness? What am I missing?

I tried adjusting my posture but my body ached, I couldn't move properly. I sat upright stretching up my body countless times. I was hospitalized and had bandages all over my body.

The pain was present but it wasn't too much. What is going on? How did I get here? What the hell am I doing here?
