A Dream With The Hëna

Every full moon night, Elora always has the same dream.

She walked on an endless meadow, surrounded by spiky-tipped mountains. A familiar sight, one that Elora used to see in Queenstown. But no matter how far Elora went, the meadow was never-ending … as if it had no edge.

There was no one Elora could meet. No life, no sound. Only herself with a huge moon whose silver light was blinding.

But … tonight's dream was different.

Elora is not alone.

She was still the same, standing in the middle of the meadow, wearing a white dress, which swept the rocks under her feet. Her hair was loose, all black. The moonlight was still just as dazzling, but there was a figure that caught Elora's attention.

Someone was standing not far in front of her. Bathed in light. Her hair was silver and shimmering, her eyes were the same color. her whole body was covered in a dress made of something clear, wavy, like a gem made of water.

The woman smiled at Elora. A hollow smile that was a little scary, but the look in her eyes were gentle. The woman seemed to be saying that everything would be fine.

Then … out of nowhere, a wolf suddenly appeared. That beast was huge, with more than half the height of the woman. Its pair of eyes were bright yellow, staring intently at Elora.

Elora wanted to run, but something inside her prevented her from doing so. Honestly, she was afraid that the wolf would attack her … eat her. With fangs sticking out of the mouth, sharp and dangerous.

And what Elora was afraid of, happened. As if receiving orders from the woman, the wolf ran towards Elora. It's getting faster and faster. Elora screamed, but no sound came out of her throat. All Elora can do is move both hands to cover her face. Elora tried to ward off the arrival of the wolf who was now close, only an inch apart.

Elora thought she was going to fall to the ground under the attack of the wolf with black silvery hair. Elora prepared to fall. But nothing happened. She who had closed her eyes in horror now opened them slowly.

The woman was still there … and the wolf jumped at Elora in the form of a mist. Like a soul coming out of its body, but still retaining the form of an entity, the wolf's soul sank into Elora's body.

A second later, a burning feeling welled up inside Elora. Burning her in pain she had never felt before. Heat, torture, and cut every core of her. Every cell in her body.

*

Elora gasped. Sweat flooded all over her body as she opened her eyes.

What did it all mean, what Elora had just experienced in her dream?

Elora sucked in a breath, her throat burning hot. Her mind was forked in many questions. A moment later, there was a priority she had to answer. Where is she now?

Elora was clearly lying on a mattress, which was in a bunk with a high roof. A transparent white fabric covered the perimeter of the bed, blocking the view from the room beyond.

Elora turned to the side and was startled to see Caspian lying next to her. They both did not wear any clothes. Or that's what Elora saw from under the white blanket that was rolled up to their hips.

And Caspian's face … his face, chest, and arms were covered with wounds that seemed like they hadn't been that long ago. Though as Elora recalled, Caspian was not injured yesterday. Or Elora who didn't notice it out of panic.

Elora got up from her sleep. She sat up and quickly pulled the covers off when she realized her upper body was exposed. Elora heard a low mumble, then she yelped as Caspian pulled her hand, making Elora fall back onto the bed.

"You have to take responsibility," said Caspian, softly and lazily.

Elora pulled the blanket even harder, making sure every inch of her skin was covered from Caspian's eyes. "What for?"

"This." Caspian pointed to the wounds on his body with a motion of his chin.

"Wh — you mean I did that to you ?!" Elora snorted. "Don't be ridiculous!"

"Why didn't you tell me you were a werewolf?"

Elora was so shocked that she forgot to cover her mouth. Caspian … did he take drugs last night?

"What are you talking about?" Elora narrowed her eyes and took the opportunity to stand up while keeping the blanket over her body. "Where are my clothes ?!" Elora raise a question, while her eyes were busy exploring the surroundings.

They were in a white-colored room, which was much larger than the one-room apartment Elora was in. Even wider than the most spacious studio in Dreamcatcher. A set of black sofas arranged in the middle of the room, a few meters from the bed. There was a fireplace attached to one of the walls.

Elora walked aimlessly to find her clothes. She struggled to walk with the heavy blanket and nearly fell several times onto the floor which was covered in a thick gray carpet.

“Your clothes are ruined. You destroyed it."

"Shut your mouth if you can only say nonsense!" Elora rebuked annoyed. Caspian, who was now lying on his side, removed the white transparent fabric so he could see Elora more clearly.

"It's up to you if you don't believe it," said Caspian while shrugging his shoulders.

Elora kept walking until she came to a wall full of long, wooden-framed glass windows. Elora pushed open one of it, which turned out to be a door, and she stumbled toward the veranda.

Elora was stunned. The forest greeted her, and Elora could see the clear blue water bend in the distance. She is now far from the city center, from the crowds. Frantically, Elora went back inside and was now looking for something more important. Pepper spray.

"Give me my bag." Elora stepped back when she saw that Caspian was no longer lying idly. Caspian wore black boxers which made him look even more dangerous. Caspian tilted his head, enjoying his time looking Elora up and down.

"Not bad," he said later.

"Shut up," Elora said while clenching her teeth.

"I won't do anything to you." Caspian raised both hands as if to confirm his words. "I swear as an Alpha," he added.

“I don't understand any of your words … and I don't want to understand. Okay? Now all I want is for you to give me back my clothes, my bag, and take me back to my house!” Elora glanced at the clock on one of the nearby tables, then she screamed hysterically.

“I have to work! Today an important potential client is meeting with me! Bring me back, Caspian!”

Unexpectedly, Caspian chuckled happily. “A situation like this … and you still thinking about work?” he sneered, ending with a faint smile that was both witty and seductive.

Elora returned the taunt by grabbing a candle holder above the fireplace and throwing it at Caspian. “Take me back now!!”

Caspian, to Elora's surprise, caught the candle holder with ease and threw it onto the sofa. His eyes gleamed with pleasure, and there was something more behind them. Something like… passion?

Caspian was no longer holding back. He walked quickly to Elora, who was pressed against the wall. Elora held her breath as her back hit the wall and Caspian's two hands caught her.

"Wild, spontaneous, brave. I like it," he whispered in Elora's ear. “But too bad I swore I wouldn't do anything to you… until you say so. So just you wait. I'll make you mine in no time.”

"Don't you even dare to dream about it," Elora growled.

“Ohh… I've never dreamed of anything, El. Because I always get what I want. "

After saying that, Caspian withdrew and left. "I'll get some clothes for you." Then he disappeared behind the door.

After making sure Caspian didn't come back, Elora slumped to the floor and began to cry. But the cry didn't take long because Elora didn't want to look weak in front of anyone… especially in front of Caspian.
