Chapter 7: You are the real Bella?

Annie was staring at the phone, waiting for an explanation from the system. But she wasted her time waiting, the system had no intention of explaining it to her. Finally, she gave up and decided to ask first:

“Hey, tell me how can I use that five-star lucky bag? I’m so curious right now!”

[The amount of money that the five-star lucky bag provides will be enough for you to live for the rest of your life, so you don’t need to worry about that! Understand?]- said the system.

“Yah! I got it.”

Annie sat on the sofa thinking about something, at the same time, assistant Steve brought her some necessary documents. So, now she turned her attention to the documents.

“Micheal manager is not a normal person, he has outstanding ability and long experience in this industry. And I’ve heard a rumor that people used to think that he couldn’t be successful in Vinwind.”- Steve said.

Annie: “Do you know exactly when it was?”

Steve: “Three years ago.”

“I think his career can’t grow so rapidly like that, there are some problems here, we should be careful!”- he continued.

“No, I don’t think so…”- said Annie.

“Hm… His career and the development of Vinwind are unrelated to us. If those people don't affect me, I will spare their lives but if they dare, I will have some special gift for them."

She looked at Steve…

“Do the people in the shareholders have any opinion?"-she suddenly asked.

“Yeah… Yes, they have. They said we should not delay this project, so what should we do?”

Anniel took out a stack of papers from the desk drawer and gave it to her assistant Steve:

"I have revised this plan, showed it to them, and continued the project."

Assistant Steve took the plan and quickly got out of the office.

Assistant Steve has done his task very well, in just one afternoon, Annie received good news about the project. When hearing the news, she told his assistant Steve to let the staff get off work early, and quickly left the company to come back home.

Just 1 hour ago, her husband told her about Vinwind's party, he wanted her to attend. At first, Annie wanted to refuse that offer, but then she happily agreed to join the party. 

At 7 p.m…

Annie and Dustin got out of the car together, their eyes glued to Vinwind's palace. Vinwind's palace has a classical style, this kind of architecture is not uncommon, so this place looked very rich and luxurious.

Annie whispered something to her husband. It could be seen that Dustin looked more comfortable and he even smiled.

But this atmosphere did not last long…

“Dustin, great to see you and your wife here”- The president of Vinwind greeted them.

He is old, but still very energetic, that gentle and warm face makes others feel happy when looking at, Annie immediately thought of a person: Micheal.

Annie thought for a while, she even didn’t see Micheal:

"Bella! Bella! Are you okay?”- said, Micheal.

When Dustin touched her shoulder, Annie returned to her senses:

"Thank you for your concern, as you can see, I’m so good right now."- she smiled.

"Yeah… that's great." Michael finds it difficult to talk to Annie, so he quickly left. Dustin saw her reaction and suddenly felt warm because she’s always kept a distance from men.

“Turns out, she only smiles at me…”- he thought.

Dustin was scared by this thought, Annie saw her husband was too silent, making her feel worried for a bit:

“Hey, honey! What’s wrong with you?”

Only the word "honey" surprised everyone. Everyone knew that Bella didn't like her husband but suddenly changed like this…they were shocked. Her voice was not too loud, but it was enough for people around them to hear.

But Annie and Dustin didn’t know about their surprise.

“Nothing! I’m just thinking… you know…”- said Dustin.

“Alright!”

Fortunately, the president coughed, breaking the awkward atmosphere:

“huh… please come in, Mr. Dustin and… you… Bella.”

Then, Annie saw the two girls who she had met at the shopping mall.

Nancy…

And… Maye?

While Annie was a little confused, Michael went to the other two girls and whispered something to them. Due to the distance, she could not hear anything.

Suddenly, Dustin asked her:

"What are you looking at?"

Annie also realized that they had also left, so she stopped looking, shook her head, and went inside.

It was very noisy inside, the young ladies and masters talked happily with each other. Annie looked around, sighed, and then went to the table. Dustin was discussing with some strange men, and there was only she here…

Annie took a sip of wine, silently thinking about her mission...

A glass of wine pulled her back to reality. Annie looked at her black dress stained with red wine, then looked up at the girl who had just poured wine on her.

Nancy…?

“...I’m…I’m so sorry, are you okay? Oh my god, I didn’t see that you are standing here…”

Nancy reached out her hand, wanting to help Annie. But when seeing her sharp nails, she suddenly smiled.

Annie tried to avoid her hand:

"Thank you,  but I don't like strangers touching me. You know, just my feeling!”

The pretty face, with beautiful eyes and a nice dress but acting like this, making everyone curious about her nature…

Bella… Bella is not like usual…
