Chapter 40

Alessia's POV

Because I was bored I decided to visit the town of Caracass. I wore a white hood and that was not unusual because women often wear this because of the Caracass costume.

I reached the town and bowed every time sentinels passed by. Even if I didn't ask, I knew they were looking for someone. That's why I'm so thankful because they don't notice me.

I went to shops that sold jewelry made of colorful shells. I'm not into these things but the colors were so pretty that I knew they weren't artificial so I checked them out.

"Buy it, young lady, it only costs ten bronze each and it suits you perfectly." The woman smiled and promised me. All merchants will say these things to their prospective buyers even if the truth is not a thing. I have also been a victim of this before. Like the clothes that our neighbor sells. They say it suits me, but when I wore it and looked at myself, it wasn't. I just wasted my money on clothes that don't fit me.

I smiled at him. "Did you do this?" I ask
