Chapter 37 Losing the Meaning of Life

Her heart was still aching. Her quarrel with him was still vivid in her mind, and she could still see his angry bloodshot eyes in front of her.

Looking at the lights of thousands of families in the city, she thought of the one that had been extinguished in Molly's house. This was a huge city, but none of the lights lit here belonged to her. She was dazed all of a sudden.

It seemed that the meaning of life had been lost all at once.

Something swelled rapidly in her heart, almost breaking her. She could not bear it any longer and began to run. It seemed that as long as she kept moving, her existence would still be meaningful.

She had not known how long she had been running until she was out of breath and her lungs were burning in pain.

After all this was relieved, she looked up and found that this was the dock where she used to work.

She had not dared to go back to Molly's house, nor did she dare to go to the hospital. She brought herself here.
