This novel could be more exciting if the female lead became a badass kissass heroine, who planned well her revenge, who readied herself physically mentally financially before facing her enemies including her ex husband because there was already her brother's death between them

Since this is a fictional novel, I'll forgo the unrealities of it, But if it happened in real life, no sane, educated, talented woman would go back to a husband who hated, discarded, humiliated her, even if he's not responsible for his brother death, indirectly he is, because he's the reason.
