The next morning.

Tang Mengyu hastily finished washing up and went downstairs. She saw Lu Zhengnan having his breakfast.

When Lu Zhengnan heard the noise from the stairs, he turned around to Tang Mengyu and said, “Good morning!”

“Morning!” Tang Mengyu replied politely.

“Mengyu, come and have breakfast.”

Lu Zhengnan leaned forward gentlemanly, groped, and pulled back the chair near him, signaling Tang Mengyu to sit next to him.

“Thanks! I won’t have breakfast at home. I’ll pick up something to eat later near my company.”

“Are you going to work?” Lu Zhengnan asked, his voice sounded attractive with a rising ending.

“Yes! I searched online yesterday. There is a bus near this villa that goes into the city. Then I can change to another to get to the company, much easier than I thought,” Tang Mengyu said as she took out her cellphone to review the bus route.

Lu Zhengnan subtly frowned without her notice. “You are now the hostess of the Lu Family, which means you don’t need to earn money yourself. Just stay home and enjoy your happy life.”

“It is indeed nice to be the Young Mistress, but I don’t want to be a canary bred in captivity. I’ve worked hard through college until graduation, so I’d like to practice what I’ve learned, and make money on my own!” Tang Mengyu’s words were sharp and determined.

Lu Zhengnan nodded and said, “It’s fine for you to work. Since the villa is far away from the city, I’ll arrange a special car with a driver for you. It’ll be more convenient for your daily commute.”

“Don’t bother! I used to take a bus to work, and I probably won’t get used to the special car. What’s more…” Tang Mengyu was hesitated to finish the rest half of her sentence.

“What?” Lu Zhengnan kept querying.

“My colleagues have no idea that we’re married yet.” The delicate eyebrows of Tang Mengyu frowned a bit. She paused for a few seconds and explained, “I’m only an intern now. It’s not good to get married when one is new to the company. I want to announce it to them after I gradually settle down.”

She was afraid that he would be angry at this and glanced at him as if she did so carelessly.

The face of Lu Zhengnan kept calm and emotionless. His dark eyes were like a deep pool covered with a layer of mist. She was unable to tell his true feelings.

“It’s up to you.” Lu Zhengnan pushed the wheelchair towards her with both of his hands. “But if there's anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask.”

“Sure, I will.” Tang Mengyu nodded.

Tang Mengyu went through the gate of the company just on time.

When Li Xiaoxian, her good friend, saw her, she dragged Tang Mengyu aside in a hurry and said, “Xiaoyu, what happened to you? Your sister said you were married? I tried to call you, but you didn’t answer.”

Tang Mengyu sighed and briefly told the story of how she was cheated by Zhou Shaohui and had a flash marriage with Lu Zhengnan.
