CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"Julian, what are you doing here? This isn't the bathroom," Camille said, walking up to where Julian stood beside Janet.

"I'm sorry about how this looks. It's just that while looking for the bathroom, a maid ran into me, spilling a drink on my shirt. Janet was descending the stairs when it happened, is he offered to help me clean up and that's why I'm here," Julian explained with a charming smile that even Camille couldn't help but notice.

"Mum, don't make too much out of this. He's such a funny guy. While trying to get out the stain, he kept making silly jokes," Janet laughed.

"Is that so? I'm glad that he makes you laugh, my dear. You deserve it all, you've been working so hard my dear," Camille said caressing Jessie's face.

'Is your shirt alright now?" Jessie asked Julian.

"Yes, it is," Julian smiled.

A maid came into the room and said, timidly, "Your guests have started arriving Madame Janet."

"Really? Let's go downstairs now. The party has officially started," Janet said, eyeing
