Thanks to my 'condition', I didn't have to practice for a quite a while. Julian had been extra careful and cautious towards me. I didn't even have to ask for anything, everything was presented to me on a platter. It was easy to say that he was babying me and Edward, Oh god! He infuriated me beyond belief, acting as though I was carrying a contagious disease. This was the first time either of them had to deal with me on my periods since they were usually away on business. I was so offended by Edward's looks that I cried more than half the time around him, which ultimately led to Julian kicking him out of the room and him whining about me being too emotional. First of all, I was in so much pain. The first day had been bearable but around mid night, the cramps from both the exercise and the breaking muscle in my body, made themselves known.Leaving me groaning and whining in pain. Julian had ordered a bunch of hot gel packs, chocolates and a warm glass of milk to help me. As it turned out,
Julian had left me in the trusted hands of his brother. I was now under 24/7 surveillance by Edward, much to his dismay. Not only did he have to begin training with me all over again, he also had to look after-baby sit- me till Julian returned. He was not alone though as Shane had also taken up duty outside my room. From the little information Edward had slipped to me, Shane was the very first member to take oath on Julian's hand and hence he was one of the most trusted members of the gang. For now, Edward sat at the couch. Grumbling to himself while watching a K-drama I had started today. As soon as the episode finished, he was on his feet. Stretching his arms above his head and releasing a relaxed sigh as his shoulder popped. I stared at him-horrified- but when he rotated his shoulder again, I knew that he hadn't dislocated it."Let's go train." he said.I groaned in annoyance as Edward suggested the dreaded activity. Ever since Julian had left a few days ago, and Edward began baby sitt
Training was easier with Julian, he wasn't under strict orders to not touch me and he was definitely more patient than Edward. Whereas Edward would scold me or scream at my failures in frustration, Julian would just chuckle and calm me down. However, it didn't decrease the embarrassment of failing in front of your husband at all. In fact, I was so embarrassed that I found it very hard to focus more than half the time, it seemed as though Julian had understood that fact and he did his best to make me as comfortable as possible.I gasped as a hand trailed my inner thigh, my hands around the gun tightened. I could've mistakenly fired at this point, but I was too distracted by the body behind mine and the hand covering mine, to care. His breath fanned over my neck as I resisted the urge to lean into the heat his body provided. "Open your legs a bit wider love." he said.My face nearly exploded as I slowly followed his instructions. I felt so utterly embarrassed and in a way, all over the pla
Julian POV:"You actually went through with it!!"I winced and glared at Edward as he paced inside my office. As soon as my control was properly established, I had passed the new order. It was only now though that it seemed to occur to the members, those under the oath didn't seem to mind it as much as the ones not under it did. And of course they would. In the new order, I had decreased the time limit for those who hadn't taken oath. Especially when more than half of them were under my father or playing spies for our enemies. If one of them actually tried to get the bounty and take Amrita..."What the Hell!" Edward shouted.Edwards shout brought me out of my daze as I stared at the now half pen grasped tightly between my fingers. The other half laid on the floor, glistening with the leaking ink that had managed to get on it.Turning my bored gaze back to my brother, I raised an eyebrow as he released a tired sigh and ran a hand over his face."This will cause an uproar."he said.I leaned ba
Amrita's POV:I chased after Shane, his steps fast and firm. Relaying the frustration he hid well with the blank look. From the call Julian had picked up, it was evident that something was very wrong. The only thing I could hear from the other side were screams and shouts, but Julian seemed to be talking with a voice on the other side that I could vaguely make out.Edward had taken his leave soon after, ringing up a few numbers and ordering people around. Whatever it was, I knew that we were in deep trouble. Julian had been on edge and even stationed more than a dozen guards outside my room.It meant that I wasn't excluded from the matter like the last times. This time all of the people I passed were on edge but none of them forgot to greet me.Shane stopped in front of the door and opened it for me, I walked in quickly as he closed it behind me, I could hear him talking with men on the other side. From the sounds of it, there were more than just a few men present outside my door and I kn
Shane knocked on the door and called out as I abruptly put the letter back, still in slight shock from the revelation I had received. With a 'come in' from me, he opened the door and popped his head in. He looked around the room in caution before sliding in with a tray of food.He set it down on the desk in front of me after I put away the letters, he was quick to turn around, ready to leave but I stopped him. In need of company to take my mind off of things."Are they okay?" I asked. He stiffened, turning around and offering me a weak smile that weakened my own."We can't get in contact with them right now Donna, they're engaged in combat at the moment." Shane replied.I nodded slowly, loosing whatever appetite I had developed over the span of 2 hours which I had spent fretting, overthinking, a bit of crying, and a lot of praying."They're going to be okay Donna, they've dealt with things like this before and came back perfectly fine."I swallowed to moisten my dry throat and looked up at h
I stared wide eyed at the bodies that littered the floor outside my room, there were around 7 bodies that were bleeding heavily and not even shifting slightly to convey whether they were alive or not. Some of the guards stood by the side, smirking as the man pushed the nozzle deeper into my waist.Still chuckling to himself at my failed attempt to free myself from his terror. After he had entered the room and I had finished staring at him like a deer caught in headlights, I had dove to get my gun and tried to shoot him. I had stared at Edward in dread as the sound of a 'click' resonated around the room but the gun didn't fire.I had removed the safety and tried to shoot again but another 'click' had resounded inside the room, without a bullet. My heart dropped as I noticed the bullets held in the transparent ziplock bag in Edwards hand.He had removed my bullets. As we walked down the stairs, the men froze, finally noticing the pickle I was in. A bruise was forming at my left cheek from
We drove for what felt like an hour, all the while, the man was humming to himself as he pulled out a bottle of beer and popped open the lid. He held it out to me but I shook my head furiously, afraid that my reply might blend in with the natural shaking of my body.He shrugged casually and took a large swig of the bottle, eyes crinkling with sadistic thoughts as he stared at me while taking a much longer sip from the bottle. It didn't seem to make him tipsy or react in anyway, he just continued to hum, enjoying the drink."How much longer till we get there son?"He spoke up and Edward finally looked into the rear view mirror, purposefully avoiding my gaze as he made eye contact with his father."Two hours." Edward replied. With his short reply, he returned his attention to the road, completely ignoring the fact that I had tried to make eye contact with him. The moment I started thinking that he might actually feel guilty, he threw me a smirk in the mirror. Not his usual smirk but one that
