Chapter 14: Farewells

"THE CONDITION has been met. The Princess has been found," A teenage boy suddenly appeared. He came from Shane's dagger.

He has small horns and a diamond tattoo on his forehead. He has a pair of bat wings and a tail. They'll actually mistake him for a human if it weren't for his demonic features. His smile was genuine but both men couldn't help but raise their guards.

He bowed his head as a salute. "It was nice working with you, Shane."

He flapped his wings and then dove into the gates of hell. Depite having a barrier, he was still able to get inside. Maybe it was because the barrier was made only for the demons inside to prevent them from stepping in to this world.

Shane returned his attention to Mara. He still could not follow their movements despite noticing that they've gone slower than earlier. Each time they take a pause to breath, his eyes are always fixed on Mara.
