It started with an unexpected phone call. Damon had just stepped out of a meeting when his mother’s voice came through, warm and filled with excitement.

"Two weeks in Nigeria," she said. "A beautiful resort, sunshine, and family. You’re coming, Damon—and bring Sienna."

Sienna had been surprised when Damon told her later that afternoon. She blinked at him from across her desk.

"They want me to come on a family vacation?"

"Apparently," Damon said with a small smirk. "My mother thinks you need a break from all the office drama."

Sienna hesitated. She liked Damon’s family well enough from the few interactions they’d had, but the thought of two weeks with them in another country was… a lot.

"I’ll only go if I can bring Jordan," she said finally.

Damon didn’t even blink. "Done."

Jordan’s excitement was instant when Sienna told him. "Nigeria? With Damon’s family? Oh, I’m in."

Two days later, Damon pulled up outside Sienna’s apartment in his sleek black SUV. Jordan was already waiting on the

The folded scoreboard in Jordan’s pocket looked like it had survived a war — creased, smudged, and slightly damp from when he’d jumped into the pool earlier to “cool down.” Sienna had tried to peek at it twice, but Damon had blocked her with the same infuriating smirk he’d been wearing all day.“Ah-ah,” he said, wagging a finger. “No peeking. Suspense is half the fun.”She snorted. “Suspense for you, maybe. I just want proof you’re not cheating.”Damon feigned offense. “Cheating? I’m a man of honor.”Jordan groaned. “And yet somehow your definition of ‘honor’ involves bending every rule in your favor.”The three of them had been in motion since breakfast — tennis, darts, beach challenges, even a “fastest to finish a milkshake without brain freeze” contest that left Jordan dramatically clutching his head for a full minute. Now, as the sun dipped lower, Damon announced their final stop before the day ended: the shaded ping-pong area by the pool.“Final tiebreaker,” he said, spinning a p

The morning sunlight poured through the sheer white curtains like warm honey, spilling across the room and over the tangled sheets. Sienna sat cross-legged on her bed, scrolling absentmindedly through her phone, while the distant hum of the resort — waves rolling in, laughter from the pool — floated up from outside. The bathroom door opened, and Damon stepped out, still toweling his damp hair. His skin glistened faintly from the shower, the muscles in his shoulders flexing as he moved. A towel was slung lazily around his neck, but the rest of him… was entirely shirtless.Sienna glanced up once — once — and instantly regretted it.“You know,” she said, voice deliberately flat, “they sell shirts in the resort gift shop.”Damon didn’t even look at her as he rubbed the towel over his hair. “Why would I buy one when you keep looking at me like that?”She scoffed. “Looking at you like what?”“Like you’re two seconds away from confessing something scandalous.”“I was looking at my phone,” sh

The gentle warmth of the Nigerian morning crept into the suite through the cream-colored curtains, the sunlight painting the walls in shades of gold. The soft hum of the air conditioner blended with the distant sound of waves crashing against the resort’s shore.Sienna stirred slowly, pulling the sheets closer before turning over—only to find the other side of the bed empty. She blinked, her sleep-fogged mind taking a moment to register the silence in the room. A sliver of movement caught her attention. There, by the far side of the room, Damon was on the floor. He lay on his side, one arm tucked beneath his head, his black leather jacket folded neatly into a pillow. His hair was slightly messy, as if he had run his fingers through it one too many times before finally surrendering to sleep. In the soft light, his face looked less guarded, almost boyish, the sharpness of his usual expressions softened by rest.Sienna sat up, her voice still laced with morning grogginess.“Why are you o

They approached the reception desk, where a sharply dressed young woman with a polite smile welcomed them. Margaret, Damon’s mother, had the reservations under control, leaning casually against the counter while she scanned the booking details. Damon stood off to the side, hands in his pockets, clearly more interested in watching the water through the glass than the actual check-in process.Margaret’s eyes flicked toward Sienna and Damon, then back to the receptionist.“Well,” she said in that tone that made it sound like a decision had already been made, “Damon and Sienna will be sharing one room. Jordan will stay with Vincent and me in the presidential suite.”Sienna’s eyes darted to Damon instantly, her mouth parting slightly. Damon glanced at his mother, his brow twitching with a subtle protest, but before either could speak, Margaret handed over the credit card with finality. “It’ll be more fun this way. And besides, the room is huge—you’ll both have space.”The receptionist type

The HR department had been watching them for over a week now. Damon knew it. Sienna knew it. And apparently, so did half the office.Ever since whispers of their supposed “relationship” had begun spreading through the corridors, HR had made it their personal mission to monitor every interaction between them. For seven straight days, Damon and Sienna had been the picture of professionalism—short, precise conversations about work, no lingering glances, no private jokes. If anything, they looked more like polite strangers than colleagues.Still, the summons came. The two of them were called into the HR office that afternoon. The blinds were drawn, the atmosphere stifling. Damon sat with his elbows resting lightly on his knees, watching Sienna out of the corner of his eye. She was perfectly calm, her hands resting on her lap, her posture relaxed but alert. The HR manager began."We’ve observed your conduct over the past week and while there has been no obvious breach of professionalism, t
