CHAPTER 48 - MEREDITH’S LETTER
Ashriel took a deep breath before reaching for the box and opening it, revealing Meredith’s old notebooks and letters. The smell of the old papers made her nostalgic. She took the piled vintage envelopes at the very top. The letter was addressed to her.
“Your handwriting really is beautiful, Granny.” She whispered and opened the letter. Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes as she read the first few words.
Ashriel, my dear granddaughter, as you read this letter, I want you to know how much I’m proud of you. I may not be beside you as you do your duties, make the right decisions, fight, cry, laugh, and celebrate victories, but you said before that I am always in your heart, and so, I hold unto that.
