Tricia’s POV

“You should better stop talking now.”

The principal snapped, obviously referring to Yvonne's mum.

The gym went quiet for a second, like everyone was holding their breath.

But Gentle made his way to Yvonne's mum, “ma’am, what were you saying?”

He spoke politely, like someone who actually cared what a cleaner had to say. I felt my smile wobble. Hadn’t he already made up his mind? Why was he asking questions now? But I noticed the weight of the curiosity in his voice, and the brothers were watching his every move.

There was no way this was happening as I am sure that this crippled old hag cleaner really has a proof.

I clenched my fingers so hard I thought my nails would go white. This was just another cheap trick to make herself look important. I rolled my eyes at the wordless crowd and I could see that they wanted drama and I am willing to give them one.

But now, Jack, who had never really sided Yvonne unlike Gentle, seemed all interested in what Yvonne's mum just said. “Ye

Yvonne’s POV“I guess the evidence just disappeared or maybe because it never existed in the first place, so I’d advise that you stop trying to prove nothing,” Sophia sneered, her arms folded like she’d just won a prize. Of course, I think she did.Liam huffed, his jaw tightening. I could tell he was holding himself back from saying something he’d regret. His eyes darted to me for a split second, guilt written all over them, and then dropped to the floor. He looked helpless, and that broke something in me.“This is embarrassing,” Bobby muttered loud enough for everyone around to hear. “You obviously wanted to get noticed, but deep down, you two came here with no proof.”His words hit harder than I expected. The whispers that followed sliced through me like tiny blades. Like no proof, no evidence, nothing at all.“I’ve dealt with a lot of frauds over the years,” Jack added, shaking his head in disgust. “But you… you’re the most shameless by far.”That was it. I couldn’t hold it in anym

Gentle’s POVMy personal guard, who had been standing quietly behind me the whole time while at the event, tapped my shoulder gently.“What’s that look on your face, sir? Do you have anything to say about what’s happening?” he asked, leaning closer like he could already sense I was holding something back.I turned slightly, my eyes still fixed on the stage where the chaos was slowly building. “What are you talking about?”He hesitated a bit, then bent over and whispered low enough that no one else could hear.“Yeah, somehow… I believe that Yvonne is your sister.”I blinked, unsure if I heard him right. “Those are mere vague words,” I said sharply. “I told you before, I need proof for that. I don’t work with assumptions.”Still, his words sat somewhere in the back of my head like a whisper I couldn’t shut off.Yvonne’s POVAs soon as I finally got up to the stage, following Liam’s approving face, the hall fell into this strange kind of silence that didn’t feel comforting at all. The li

  • Lost Heiress of the Belfort Brothers   Chapter 38- This year’s homecoming queen…

Tricia’s POVBobby’s words landed like a tiny stone in a quiet pool. “You know, now that I see her in a good dress, she really does look like our mum.” He said it almost to himself, but I squeezed my ears to hear that and then he drifted over and stood beside Jack.Jack rolled his eyes and waved a hand. “Come on, bro. I only think that you are simply imagining things in your head.”They moved back to their seats as if nothing had happened, laughing together, but my head was spinning. I could feel their eyes flick to Yvonne and then away again, and that little shift which felt subtle made my palms go cold.“Are they serious?” I muttered, the plastic cup in my hand slipping a little from the way I squeezed it. The drink sloshed and soaked my fingers and I didn’t even notice until the cold spread through my palm.I couldn’t let that happen, Never! Not after all I have sacrificed including giving out my body to that jerk of a doctor. For me, this family was mine. I’d built this, and I cou

  • Lost Heiress of the Belfort Brothers   Chapter 37 — The Night in White.

Tricia’s POVThe homecoming night glowed like something straight out of a dream. The whole hall shone under soft white drapes, golden fairy lights strung across the ceiling like a thousand stars trapped inside. The DJs were doing justice to the sound system as every beat of the music made the floor come alive beneath our feet.Students swayed and twirled, some already drenched in sweat from too much dancing, while others huddled in corners taking pictures, laughing like they had no care in the world. It was one of those nights that everyone waited for all semester—a night to show off, to feel seen, and to belong. And for me, I totally belonged here, because I was the centre of attraction. At least, that’s what it looked like.My heels clicked softly on the floor as I walked past a small group of girls who stopped mid-laugh just to stare at me. Their eyes followed me the way one follows a spotlight on stage. I could feel the admiration in their gazes, and honestly, it thrilled me.Adri

Tricia’s POV“Dr. Josh, you said I needed to be here myself before you could issue another DNA test to me.”My tone came out sharper than I intended right there at his office, but I didn’t care. I was in no mood for games.“Yeah, I did,” he said calmly, leaning back in his chair like a man who had all the time in the world.“So what was that for? You could have easily issued one to Adrian when I sent him over.”But then, he gave a dry chuckle that made my stomach twist in annoyance. “Sure, but I needed you to come over so we could talk better about this.”“Oh, I get where you’re driving at,” I said, folding my arms. “If it’s about money, you can always count on me. Since I’m now the heiress of the Belfort brothers, I can afford any amount you ask for. So, you can write out your account details and I will whatever amount you want to have this done.”“Sure, I want something,” he said, his eyes sliding over me slowly, deliberately. “But definitely not in cash.”My brows furrowed. “What’s

  • Lost Heiress of the Belfort Brothers   Chapter 35 – Been his date for tonight's homecoming.

Yvonne’s POV‘What is he doing here?’ The thought froze somewhere in my head before I could even move.Liam stood at the door with his hands tucked into his pockets, looking so calm yet unreadable. His shirt sleeves were rolled to his elbows and his cute smiles caught my attention.“Hey,” he said, with his voice low and careful. “Can I come in?”Before I could even open my mouth, my mum spoke, in her usual warm tone. “Sure, you can.” She gestured slightly, her hand resting on the arm of her wheelchair.Liam stepped in politely, closing the door behind him. “Thank you, ma’am. I’m here for Yvonne.”“Okay, that’s fine. You’re welcome,” my mum replied, her voice steady and kind, like she already knew he was coming even before he did.I blinked. Wait—what? How on earth did they sound like they’d have discussed what was about to play out, before now? Did he stop by while I was in school today and they’d talked, which maybe that was why he wasn't in school today? Or maybe I was just imaginin
