Chapter 3

The accident was finally dealt with, and both cars were sent to auto service centers for repairs.

Fortunately, both parties have insurance, and this can be resolved smoothly...

Outside the door of the traffic police brigade, Shane stood at the door waiting for Grace to come out.

After a while, Grace walked out of it alone.

She put the receipts into her bag and said with a sullen face, \"Fortunately, they have insurance. Otherwise, my salary this year will not be enough to pay even for a piece of car paint.\"

  While talking, Jake walked out.

One of the leaders of the traffic police brigade, who was in his 50s, held Jake\'s hand tightly and said, \"Send my regards to Mr. Smith. When I\'m free, I will definitely come to visit him.\"

Jake nodded and a black Maybach drove over steadily behind him.

  He walked past Shane.

A fluttering glance swept across her face, and the strong aura made Shane feel less pressured.

The man didn\'t stop, but got into the car directly, and the front of the car galloped away in front of her.

Grace rolled her eyes and said, \"Haven\'t I seen enough yet? Let\'s go!\"

\"Oh, good...\" Shane turned her head dully.

  ...

In the taxi, Grace took out a band-aid from her bag and stuck Shane\'s cut finger.

  She asked, \"Where should I take you?\"

\"Go back to Lance\'s house...\", Shane replied while looking out of the car.

Grace said with a wry expression, \"What will you do at Lance\'s house? It\'s over. He treats you this way, and his family has always regarded you as a thorn in the eye. If I were you, I would hit Lance\'s penis first, and then ruin the relationship of the Logans, and then call off the wedding? Tsk tsk. Just thinking about it makes me feel good.\"

  \"...\" Shane said nothing.

Grace continued, \"What Lance did is too much. You were kind enough to be with him, but he left you in the hotel alone and took another woman to be happy. Thinking about the vixen who was with him in the airport, I couldn\'t help but want to go up and tear her up...\"

\"Don\'t say that. I\'m in a mess now...\", Shane interrupted.

Grace gave Shane a glance, turned her head, and ignored her.

  ...

The old house of the Logan family.

When Shane opened the door and walked in, Mr. Logan was surprised and threw a teacup toward the door.

The tea cup just hit Shane\'s forehead.

With a burst of soreness, Shane\'s eyes went dark.

Immediately afterwards, the maid came over and asked out of concern, \"Young lady, are you okay?\"

Shane touched her forehead with her hand. Seeing that there was no blood, her face was pale and shook her head, and said, \"I\'m fine. What\'s wrong with Grandpa?\"

Speaking of Mr. Logan, the maid also sighed softly and said in a low voice, \"He just answered an old neighbor\'s phone call, and I don\'t know what was said on the phone. After he hung up, he started to get angry.\"

Shane nodded, picked up the teacup from the ground, walked over, forced a smile and asked, \"Grandpa, are you okay?\"

Mr. Logan was already very angry, but when he saw Shane, he pointed his finger at her and said, \"You still have the face to ask? If it weren\'t for you, I wouldn\'t lose against Baley. I don’t understand! Why did Lance choose you? Our family has a big business, so what does my grandson want from you?\"

Even if Shane held on again, the smile on her face still stagnated.

She looked sad, and finally lowered her head and said, \"I\'m sorry, Grandpa. I will just go back to my room.\"

After speaking, Shane turned and walked to the second floor.

While taking a few steps of the stairs, the old man yelled at her again.

He whispered, \"I don\'t know if Lance is blind or what that he had to find someone like you. You\'re nothing but like a vampire that sucks our family\'s blood.\"

Shane quickened her pace and quickly went up to the second floor.

Back in the room, she turned around and closed the door. She leaned her back against the door panel as her chest pained...

Her tears flowed down like broken beads, but she cried silently.

The Logan family is so big, but there is no room for her at all.

Someone knocked at the door panel behind her.

Shane quickly wiped away her tears and asked, \"Who is it?\"

  The maid said softly, \"Madam, it\'s me...\"

Shane turned around and opened the door. The maid was holding an ice pack in her hand and said, \"Madam, are you okay? I\'ll come up to help you apply on your forehead.\"

In this family, only this maid is the only one who still waits to see her.

Shane nodded and opened the door to let her in.

Shane sat on the bed with the maid standing aside, using an ice pack to gently compress the blood stasis on her forehead that was hit by a teacup.

Shane\'s eyelashes were hanging and shaking slightly, but she has no complaint.

The maid said, \"Mr. Logan has always been like that. Don’t take what he said too much. Actually, the old man still cares about you and the young master. Yesterday he asked me if your work is going well. He actually wants to tune you up.\"

In the eyes of the maid, the old man is acting that way to help her do her work well.

But Shane knew in her heart that she was nothing but embarrassing for abandoning her job and ruining the image of the Logan family.

Even so, Shane did not refute the maid\'s words.
