Chapter 24

 

When Matin walked back inside the house after sending the squad, he saw Sofiah was sleeping soundly on the couch in the living room.

 

He gently picked her up bridal style and went to their room. He put her on the bed and lay down beside her.

 

Suddenly, Sofiah turned around and hugged him. He was slightly shocked and his breath started turning from normal to heavy.

 

She was laying her head over his chest comfortably. His heart was beating so fast at their closeness.

 

He let out a big sigh and said, “Fiya, you made it hard for me to control myself. Oh, God! Please help me go through this night without doing anything to her.”

 

He took a deep breath to calm his heart. He kissed the top of her head before forcing himself to sleep.

 

In the morning, Sofiah was cleaning their room when Matin walked inside and said, “I made breakfast for you.”

 

She was slightly taken aback and asked, “Huh? What did you make?”
