On this day, my company organized a team-building activity. Considering the current spell of hot weather, we went for white water rafting, a popular activity among young people. It was exhilarating but also high-risk.

I was at the end of the line, waiting for my turn to get onto the raft. I was the only one left who hadn't done the rafting yet. I was a little nervous and felt even more scared when I learned I had to be on the raft alone.

My colleague waved at me and yelled, "Jacqueline, hurry up..."

I braced myself and sat on the raft. I closed my eyes and let the raft take me down the stream. Suddenly, with a loud bang, I was thrown out of the slideway with the raft.
