Chapter 56 Gone Was the Money

The moment Damien finished speaking, he unleashed all his rage and hatred on Clarissa.

When Clarissa woke up the next day, she discovered she was covered in bruises.

Clarissa was convinced that she was not to be blamed for this incident. In the first place, it was all Damien’s fault for being biased. He chose to only listen to Madelynn’s side of the story rather than attempting to consult Clarissa. The thought only served to further stoke the flames of her anger.

After she got out of bed and washed up, she refused to talk to Damien at all. Instead, she grabbed a huge shopping bag and dumped some of her clothes into it. She even stole both of their marriage certificates.

Clarissa wouldn’t be staying in this house tonight.

After that, she flagged down a cab and headed to the hospital instead of troubling Damien to send her there.

As expected, she bumped into Madelynn in the hospital corridor. The latter was in the midst of shooting her movie.

Clarissa simply stood there silently.
