Ferris eyes opened in the middle of night when he heard faint sound of someone's quivering and muffled sobbing. He got up alert and looked at Hazel side was bed which was empty. Alarmed, he got up and followed the voice. The dim light was escaping from washroom door.

He walked to the door and slowly opened it. There, on floor his wife sat with her head on her knees and sobbing. Her body shivering.

Ferris was sad and worried for his wife. He walked closer to her, "Hazel...." his voice was soft than usual.

"Get up love...." he used the endearment ' love' for the first time.

Hazel looked up at him. Her eyes filled with loneliness, helplessness, yearning.

Ferris quickly picked her up and hugged her warmly.
