Chapter 89 | After All

Grayson's eyes feel heavy, and there's a sharp pain in his head. He slowly beats his eyelashes, getting used to the sun before he fully opens his eyes. He's in the basement's nursery. A smell of sterile equipment, alcohol and ointments brushes his nose. He tries to move, but he groans when his thigh injury reminds him of its existence. 

Grayson turns his head, and his heart jumps when he sees Kian sitting next to the bed, sleeping quietly, resting against the wall. 

"Good morning, sir," one of his subordinates approaches. Grayson frowns at the blues on his cheek and the corner of his eye. He remembers what happened last night, and a surge of panic haunts his body. "Tell me..." 

The bodyguard pulls a chair and sits by the bed, "We finished them all as you ordered
