Chapter 40 – The King and Queen’s Reunion

For the first time in the King of Sattus’ existence, tears filled his eyes. He had always believed he was incapable of creating the salty liquid, but here he was, unable to stop it from rolling down his jaw and dripping into the sacred pool.

Anguish filled him. Intense anguish that even the whole of Sattus shared. The once bright sky of Nirvana—a place in Sattus where all good souls await their Final Ascent—became dark, while the other sections of Sattus became even gloomier.

Jacob felt Hein’s pain too. Solene was his daughter. He wanted to share a life with her in Sattus, but it was questionable now if that vision would ever become a reality.
