LOGINArielle's POV
What's going on? I mean, how did we get to this? The same man who claimed not to give a damn about me had his lips placed on mine.I gently disconnected our lips and tried to push him away, but he held me tighter. "What are you...?"
"Shh," he hushed me. "Play along. This is a little way you can pay back for my car."
Then he kissed me again. Much to my surprise, my lips slowly began to move in rhythm with his.
Oh goodness. I let a stranger have my first kiss. I didn't just let him. I was actually kissing him back.
When he finally let go of me, I was breathless, gazing into his eyes with shock. I was drowning in those deep blue eyes of his that reminded me of the ocean.
"Luciano!" A high-pitched female voice rang behind me.
Turning back, I was surprised to see an elegant lady staring at us with tears streaming down her cheeks. The man finally let go of my waist, and I regained my breath, although the thudding of my heart didn't cease.
Now I get it. He was using me to make the other woman jealous.
"Cosa ti prende? How could you do this to me?" she said, her accent coated with heavy Italian.
[What is wrong with you?]
"Oh, ti prego, Bella. Non sentirti troppo importante," he said flatly. "Maybe if you had come earlier, I wouldn't have called my girlfriend to come along."
[Oh please, Bella. Don't feel too important.]
Their argument was already attracting other people's attention. I stood there, transfixed, and glancing from one person to another, unable to understand what they were saying. I had lived in Italy for a greater portion of my life, and I never tried to learn their language.
He grabbed my waist again. "Now, if you will excuse me, I've got some catching up to do with my girl."
Your girl? What had I gotten myself into?
"I'll tell everyone about this. You'll regret this!" The lady yelled.
He chuckled. "What's the worst that can happen?"
I didn't fail to notice the hard glare the lady shot at me before stomping out.
Then I turned to the man. "I don't get it. Who are you?" The question left my lips.
"That should never bother you, principessa," he responded while staring into my eyes and cupping my cheek with his large palm. "You did well."
Anyone looking at us right now would think we were actually a couple.
His eyes darted behind again and narrowed. I couldn't even do a thing. I was just there, trapped in his cage and wondering who he was and the kind of authority he possessed.
"Mario!" He roared all of a sudden. Everyone froze and turned to look at him, but no one dared to look much longer. His voice alone commanded attention. It was as if the earth froze and everyone came to a standstill.
Can the ground just open so I can fall inside? What kind of attention seeker is this?
The supposed Mario came forward, holding a camera. I could sense the fear in him as he stood before the man, Luciano.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Luciano snarled.
"Non volevo tradirti, capo, è tuo nonno." [I didn't mean to betray you boss, it's your grandfather.]
"You're working for my grandfather now?"
Mario pursed his lips. "I can't say no to him."
"Elimina quelle immagini." [Delete those pictures]
Mario flinched. "Tuo nonno potrebbe uccidermi." [Your grandfather might kill me]
Luciano swallowed. "Meriti di essere ucciso." [You deserve to be killed.]
Nonno. Okay, I caught that one. That's grandfather, but the rest were vague. I hated the fact that I was lost. I wished I could quietly walk away and end the strange event of a day, but his arm was wound tightly around my waist.
Mario bowed his head slightly. "I'm sorry."
Luciano's eyes seemed to soften. "What would you have me do?"
"Play along with her."
"Leave," he ordered in English, then Mario left. Then, he shifted his attention to me.
"What is your name?" He asked.
"Arielle," I replied, still shocked at the turn of events. I didn't want to answer, but I couldn't stop my lips from moving. Maybe because I was scared. The dark aura emanating from this man was terrifying.
"Where are you from?"
Why the sudden questions? But I answered anyway. "New York. What do you want from me?"
"You're going home with me," he said with a stoic expression.
"Excuse me?"
"I don't need to overemphasize that. Grab your things and follow me."
He was damn serious.
"Okay, okay. This is absolutely crazy, you know. You have no right to order me around. I'm not going anywhere with you!" I screamed.
He didn't say a word, he just stared at me with hooded eyes—no expression.
"It's not a request. Follow me, Arielle," he said. The way he mentioned my name startled me. It sounded like an abomination on his lips.
"No," I replied boldly.
His lips curled into a smirk which disappeared as soon as it came. "I don't take no for an answer. You'll find exactly what you're looking for."
I squared my shoulders and shook my head in disagreement. "I'm not going with you."
"Fine," was the only reply he gave before striding out of the art gallery.
Large numbers of heavily bodied men dressed in black followed him. I thought those men were guarding the gallery, but they were Luciano's guards.
Who exactly is this man?
I swallowed a hard lump that had formed in my throat and watched as every one of them walked out. Soon, normalcy was restored to the gallery, and everyone continued with their chatter.
I let out a sigh of relief then went to another painting. A warm smile appeared on my cheeks as I began to describe the painting, even though fear was clawing at the back of my mind.
Gabriel's POV "How can she say no to me? No one has ever defied my orders," I barked, pacing around the parking lot outside the gallery.Everyone sensed my anger as they all avoided me except Alessio, my closest man who came forward, trying to calm me.
"I could have dragged her with me. In fact, I'm going back in there to get her," I continued ranting.
Alessio stopped me. "She is not willing to follow you. People will notice, and your grandfather wouldn't be happy."
I gritted my teeth. "If it weren't for her importance to me, I would have designed her very death by now."
"She's a woman," Alessio reminded me of my rule about not hurting women.
"I know, but she's getting on my nerves."
"Be a little more patient. We will get her for you."
I had used up a lot of patience just tonight. First was Bella, now this... Arielle.
The people started leaving the hall, and it was just me and my men, waiting.
For her.
Arielle's POV He gently pushed my hair to one side, and then trailed a slow line with his finger from my ear, down to my lips. I couldn't control my erratic breathing as his thumb pressed against my lips, coaxing them open."F**k. I just want to taint you," he said, his eyes burning with nothing but raw desire. With one swift movement, he flipped me over so i was lying flat, stomach facing the bed.Okay... he was rough. He's rough in bed. I need to speak up.He stretched my cuffed hands farther, then landed a sharp spank on my butt."Oh," I let out a moan, my skin tingling from the sudden sting. My core throbbed in response.I began. "I... I honestly don't know anything about your sex life, but I... Luciano, I need you to go easy on me," I said, my voice shaky.Silence.Then: "I'll try to be gentle."But there was nothing gentle about the next thing he did. The way he pulled me up, making my butt press to his crotch while my upper body stayed low. My cuffed hands still remained str
Arielle's POV "Okay. I'm just gonna leave my hair like this," I said, dropping my hands to my sides. "So, what are you doing, Mr Flynn?" I asked in a tone that came out more sensual than I intended."I'm busy with artwork," his voice was rough, almost tense."Mm. I figured you'd be here." I hummed and began strutting toward him with a slight sway of my hips. When I reached him, I leaned my weight against a table. "What kind of artwork, Mister?"He stared at me. "The kind that deals with Arielle as a masterpiece."I looked away, trying to stop myself from blushing. But I couldn't. When I turned back, he was still staring at me."Can I have a look?" I asked. He immediately covered the canvas. "No.""Besides that first painting you showed me, I've not seen any other one. And you claim everything in this room is of me.""Yes, they are." He stood up and pushed the easel aside. "You can't see them yet. Not until they are perfect. They'll all be yours one day.""Fine." My eyes wandered arou
Gabriel's POV Damn it.If I had known what Jennie wanted to talk about, I wouldn't have answered that phonecall.No. That wasn't Jennie. When I got back to the beach house, Arielle was already standing outside with her clutch in hand."I thought you weren't coming back," she said, her gaze fixed on the ground."I made a promise," I said."Well, I'm tired. I'm done for the night." She tightened her grip on her clutch. "I want to go home. I was about to call—""Your brothers?"She scoffed. "No.""I'll take you home." I extended my hand, hating the dullness in her eyes. "Come here."She finally looked up at me. There was hesitation in her gaze. But she stepped forward anyway and placed her hand in mine.We walked back to the car in silence."How's Jennie?" She asked the moment we settled inside.I clenched my jaw before replying. "She's fine."I started the car, pushing my focus to the steering wheel. But Arielle's eyes on me kept distracting me."You know she's very fond of you. Extra
Gabriel's POV I drove furiously as I followed the blinking dot in my phone. I always kept her location. The same way I'd quietly added Arielle's. This better not be one of your pranks, Jennie. If it was, she wouldn't like my reaction. My mind replayed the night with her. Arielle. Guilt sat heavy in my chest. I'd left her alone. It was impossible to control myself around her.My obsession, my control, my restraint... they were all slipping.I had nearly lost it when I saw that necklace around her neck. If only she knew how badly I wanted her to myself. How much I didn't want to share her affection or even her gratitude. How much I wanted to take her far away — to the moon and back—where no one else could reach her. I parked outside the small bar and stepped out, slamming the door harder than necessary. I headed inside.Jennie sat at the far end of the bar, running her thumb along the rim of a half-filled glass of liquor. I immediately recognized the sly smirk tugging at the corner
Arielle's POV His lips returned to my neck. My hands moved on their own, tangling into his hair as his mouth explored every curve and angle of my neck, ravaging my skin with heated kisses.I was certain by morning my neck would be a blotchy mess of purplish red.I bit back a moan, my thighs clenching as warmth pooled between them. His hands began working—one sliding along my bare back while the other firmly eased my clenched thighs apart. He paused, lifting his head to stare at my flushed face."Bellissima. Sei molto bella," he murmured. [Beautiful. You're very beautiful]Then his lips crashed onto mine in a fierce overpowering kiss that sent a shock through my entire body. I moaned into his mouth, our tongues colliding in a heated rhythm. My grip tightened in his hair, one hand going down to his chest — searching for something, anything that would relieve me of the hot irresistible desire I was feeling in my core. His hand on my thigh traced the slit of my dress slowly, inching high
Arielle's POV I looked down at him. His eyes were fixed on mine, his gaze stripping me bare. For a moment, I thought he would touch me there. But instead, he squeezed my thigh and trailed his hand back down. I swallowed a moan, forcing myself to stay still. His hand returned to my leg.Good that he didn't go further. Because if Maven had caught him, this date would have ended before it even began, and Maven would have dragged me straight back inside."Hey. Why are you taking so long?" Maven interrupted, irritation laced in his tone. "You're just supposed to tie the straps of the heels. Don't take the whole evening doing just that."I glanced down at Luciano. A mischievous smirk curved his lips, his eyes dark with amusement. Then, I tilted my head up at Maven. "Maven, seriously?"The next thing I knew, my feet left the ground. Luciano had lifted me effortlessly and slung me over his shoulder. I let out a soft gasp, my hair tumbling forward. "Luciano!" I yelped, heat flooding my
