34| The cold war

Amaira's POV

The servants were bustling around the mahogany breakfast table, which had been blessed with every kind of feast I could ever think of, and despite this, Ava was eating only fruits. I am not sure what the point of making so many dishes is when you are going to have only fruits?

The thought that bubbled up in my head was that 'She must be on a diet!'

My gaze shifted between the food and my empty plate, unable to decide which dish to select first. One of the servants was serving Dominic his breakfast, while another stood beside me, waiting for me to tell him which delicacy I wanted first.

"Amaira, why aren't you having anything?" Lady Catherine inquired, her eyes darting between me and my empty plate.

She is very caring and makes me think of my mother. I have not talked to my family yet because I am in a hurry.
