CHAPTER SIX

AARON'S POV

It was a nice day, when I walked in the school. Luke and Noah walked beside me towards our class.

We sat down in middle seats, and all students also took their seats and class started as the teacher walked in. I took out my notebook and focused on class.

After 5 minutes, a girl walked in like she owned it. My eyes feel blessed as they watch the most beautiful, stunning girl in the universe.

Valencia walked into the class, and her amber colored eyes met with mine.

Thump…Thump…Thump…

My heartbeat fastened as we held each other's gaze, even for a few seconds. I gave her a smile, but she ignored me and walked towards the last seat.

My eyes trailed down on her body, she never wore her school dress and only wore her baggy clothes. Her slim, perfect body hiding beneath her oversized black hoodie and black skinny jeans.

Her chestnut brown hair was tied in a messy bun, her backpack hanging on her right shoulder. She sat down and opened her bag to take out a book.

I thought she would take out her notebook but she pulled out a fictional book and started reading!!

I couldn't figure out the name but I can assume that it's a horror story because of the book cover.

“Hey? Ron, look straight.” Luke whispered and slightly hit me with his elbow.

I turned my attention to the teacher but my mind was somewhere else. I took a quick glance around the class and saw almost every boy looking at her.

I couldn't even blame them, because Valencia is so beautiful that no one can look away from her. Myself included.

But…. I'm not even half as smart and stunning as her. Everyone in my previous school teased and bullied me for my chubby body. I, myself, don't feel confident with my body.

So …..how can I even imagine her looking at me or noticing me? She'll never notice me, there's so many handsome boys around her.

Why would she even notice me?

Valencia De Von Cruz, would never notice me.

I tried to focus on studying and avoid her. it was lunch time, everyone started to leave for the canteen.

“Let's go, Ron.” Noah said, and stood up to leave.

"You both go ahead, I'm coming in a minute after gathering my things." I said and they left after nodding.

I quickly put my books in my bag and walked towards the door. But as soon as I opened the door a hand slammed the door shut.

My body shuddered as I felt the breath on my back neck. She's so damn close to me.

I turned back and saw her. Valencia.

Her amber colored eyes were staring at me. She took two steps closer to me— I also took two steps back and pressed my back to the door.

“Yesterday….” she started to talk.  “You were talking back to me? I didn't say anything but let me remind you of a few things.” she says.

I felt flustered as she leaned close to my face. Is she going to kiss me?

“If you again tried to interfere in my matter, I'll not show mercy on you.” she whispered in my ear. I freaking blushed feeling her close and I'm sure she can see it.

“B…but you fired the math teacher yesterday?” I said looking into her eyes.

She smirked and I could feel alarms ringing in my head. I tried to escape from the left side but she put her left hand on the door— trapping me between her arms.

I sighed in defeat and looked into her eyes. Valencia put a finger under my chin and leaned more closer, leaving very few inches apart from touching our lips.

“He disrespected me. I've power, I fired him.” she says.  “And I'll do it again, if anyone disrespect me.” she added.

Finally, she took steps back and looked at me upside down.  “I hope this little interaction helps you to understand about me and my power.” she says with a smile.

"Understood?" She asked, raising her left eyebrow. I nodded.  “Words, baby. I want to hear from you.”

“Y..yes.” damn, I feel so nervous.

“That's my Good boy.” she said and patted my cheeks before leaving the class. I stand there in awestruck.

What the héll just happened?

“Aaron!!” Luke came into the class.  “What are you doing here? We were waiting for you in the canteen.” he complained.

“…sorry, I just—”

“It's okay, now let's go and eat before time gets over.” he said and practically dragged me to the canteen.

Noah already took a table and our lunch.  “Where were you till now?” he asked.

“Sorry.” I apologized and we sat down to eat in peace.

But my mind was playing the earlier part. I could still feel her close to me, her sweet chocolate fragrance lingering in my nose.

I looked around the room and finally found her. Her private table was in the farthest corner, with a window seat. Canteen manager specially delivered her meal to her table.

She ate her food while reading her book. and every boy was still staring at her. Don't know why but it makes me feel angry or annoyed.

“She's really popular!!” Luke said and I immediately looked at him.

“How do you know?” I asked, he passed me his phone and I glanced into his phone and saw many pictures of Valencia.

“I came across a boy, who was stalking her social media accounts and got to know that she's way too much popular than celebrities.” Luke explained and I scrolled down her profile.

There's not many pictures of her, but her every post has received millions of likes and comments. There's a post of black and white canvas and the caption shows—

@Val_De Von_Cruz —  'Life is too short for arguments. Just beat the héll out of people and move on.'

Wow!! Her way of talking is just violence.

I memorized her profile name and gave back the phone. I took out my own phone and immediately searched for her profile and followed it.

She has many followers, so she will not notice me following her. After finishing lunch we went back to class and continued.

After school ended, me and my friends walked side by side on the roadside until we reached the point.

Suddenly 3-4 cars stopped near us and we stepped back in surprise when people walked out from the cars.
