I'm getting married, AGAIN.

Ivy looks at the college ID in her hand as she travels home.

She had grown up in New York and traveled to Oxford for her degree.

When she came back, she had been hell bent on getting married to Richard that she had disregarded all her family just for him.

She's scared about how she'll be received now that she's basically a prodigal daughter.

She looks at her designated driver and urges him to drive faster.

In three hours, she arrives on the outskirts of town, where her family house was built.

In the form of a castle built in the early eighteen hundreds, their family is what is called Old to Modern Family money.

She has been brought up to be humble so she never showed the fact that she was from a very rich founding family and nothing ever gave her away.

She directs the man where to park the car, pays him and waits for him to leave before she exits the car.

She opens the trunk of the car and carries out her suitcase filled with everything she owned the past few years.

It's quite big, she draws it behind her, walking slowly, worried about how she will be received by her family.

At the door, she presses the bell.

A man with red hair opens the door, as soon as he sees her, his eyes go wide.

And then from every room down the hall, red heads peek out and each of them all get the same reaction.

A woman comes forward. "Ivy?"

"Yes... Yes Mum." She replies, tears choking her.

She's swept up in a big warm hug.

They drag her in and take her to the living room, they treated her like she never left, making her cry all the more.

Her mother kept on patting her back, trying to stop her crying.

"I'm sorry Mum, I'm sorry Dad, I'm sorry everyone. I was so stupid. I should have obeyed you, I was so so stupid."

"We all learn from our mistakes." Her Dad comments, sitting across her and watching his only daughter snuggle into her mother's hands.

Her brothers watch her from the arches, waiting for their parents to be done with her before they do whatever they have on their mind.

"We missed you a lot. How could you not call though?"

"I was scared that everyone was still angry with me. I just couldn't bring myself to. I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing already. Go and unpack, you came in time for lunch. Join us for lunch okay?"

"Yes Mum. Love you both." She hugs them both.

She eyes her brothers who are looking at her with a mixture of emotions.

They grab her bag and follow her upstairs.

She opens the door to her room and sees it the way she left it. She smiles and sniffles gently.

"Why are you still crying?" Her younger brother asks, Liam Hall. He raises his eyebrow. "Unlike others, I didn't miss you, not one bit." He boasts as he lies down on his bed.

Ivy smiles at him and then turns to her elder brother. "Bro... I missed you." She runs at him and wraps her hands around him, genuinely missing him.

He hesitates for a moment before running his hand through her long red curly hair. "I missed you too Venom."

"Don't call me that." She pushes him slightly, smiling though

"What? Your name is Ivy. Poison, Venom. What else? You don't know it yet but that's what you are."

Grent lowers down to her level and grabs her hand.

Startled, she tries to pull it back but his grip is much stronger. He pulls up the long sleeved shirt she had on and his eyes go red as his hair.

"Did that bastard do this to you? He touched you?"

"Yes... No." She lies. "It's just coffee."

"And the ones on your face too?" Liam chips in, not smiling anymore. "I have a penchant for makeup lately and I can tell what's under one. You have lost your colour. You've become paler and much much thinner. Did coffee do all of that to you too?"

Grent grunts. "You can hide your hands but your neck is still very obviously. You didn't do a good job hiding it." Grent stands up to his full height "I am going to ruin him, don't stop me."

Ivy holds his hand. "I know you want to. I want to do the same thing, trust me, but please hold on. I have a plan. All I need is your trust for now. Please, trust me."

Grent relents. "If that's what you want. Let's go for lunch. Come on."

He ushers them out of the room and closes the door behind him.

All three of them head downstairs to where the food is being served.

"Hm... It smells so nice. I missed the smell of home." Ivy mutters while she's eating.

After a while, she places her spoon down, looks around at her family. "Don't be alarmed. I have something to tell you all."

Her Dad looks at her speculatively. "What is it?"

"I'm getting married."

Her mum drops her spoon on shock. "Again?"

Ivy smiles easily. "I'm going to need your blessings on this one, and I'm sure. I'm not making a mistake."

Her family look at her like she's grown a horn.

"I'm sure you're doing the right thing darling." Her grandmother chips in, smiling at her only granddaughter, her gut feeling never wrong.

*

Richard enters into the Wright family Mansion with a cocky smile on his face.

As soon as he enters the living room, he stops short. Every member of his family is gathered.

Grandfather, Mum, Dad, Elder brother, Younger sister, Uncles and Aunts, all gathered.

He saunters inside, with a smile. "Did someone die? Why are we gathered like this?"

The cup of water heading to his grandfather's mouth stops short and he flings the glass cup across the hall and it shatters against the wall. "I knew you were a bastard from the first day I set my eyes on you!"

Richard is taken aback. "Me?"

"Calm down Dad." His mum placates his grandfather.

"What did..."

"What did you do? Are you seriously asking us that? What did you not do? That poor lady. I wonder where she is right now." His mum continues

"She went home, she's fine." Ashton replies, patting her shoulder lovingly.

Richard looks at Ashton. "And how would you know that?"

"Don't worry, I didn't beat her to find out." He replies acidly and turns to his grandfather, "Grandpa, I saw him myself, he was sleeping with his secretary, her friend, and she walked in on them, that same night, without apologizing, he divorced her."

"After all the abuse?" His Dad asks

"After all the abuse. There is no open part on her body that doesn't have a mark, no matter how small."

The grandfather, the head of the family, looks straight at Richard... "From now henceforth, you're no more a Wright. You will fend for yourself, until you redeem yourself to us and to that woman, you're not a member of this family."

"What?" Richard exclaims "This is not fair. You won't hear my side of the story?"

Ashton clears his throat. "Before he leaves, I have an announcement he would be interested in hearing."

All eyes in the room turns in him.

"I am getting married."

"What?"

"Congratulations."

Richard looks at him, sour. "Congratulations."

Ashton. "I don't need it, coming from you."

"Who is the woman?"

Ashton smiles, somehow, his eyes lighting up. "Oh, we all know her. Her name is Ivy Hall."
