Elliot POV

The scent of rubbing alcohol was the first thing that hit my senses.

I opened my eyes, my vision blurred by a thick, heavy film. The blinding overhead lights of the arena were gone. Instead, the soft, recessed lighting of Sebastian’s master bedroom glowed overhead, casting long shadows across the dark wood ceiling. The sheets beneath my back were smooth silk, a cool contrast to the burning heat still radiating from my skin.

I tried to lift my right arm, but a sharp tug near my inner

Elliot POVThe rain hit the big glass windows of the penthouse in a beat. Outside, the city was hidden behind a grey fog, but inside, the air was warm and smelled like cedar.I leaned on the kitchen island, watching Sebastian. He did not wear a suit, go to meetings. He just wore some grey pants that were low on his hips, and his broad shoulders were bare."You are really skipping practice," I said with a smile as I watched him chop rosemary. He used the knife with the ease he used in the office. "Kofi is going to be mad when the captain does not show up."Sebastian did not look up. He put some garlic in the pan, and it made a loud sound that filled the kitchen with a great smell. "Let him. I told the coaches I had something to do. This is important.""Is cooking pasta important?" I stepped closer, feeling the floor under my feet."Feeding you is always important," Sebastian said. He picked up a spoon, stirred the sauce, then he turned to me, said, "Taste baby."My chest felt warm when

Sebastian POVThe ice in Thomas's glass rattled.I stood by the oak door of the private suite not moving. My presence made the room feel small. The air was thick and heavy like it was hard to breathe. A strong smell of cedar filled the space and it was making Thomas really uncomfortable. He swallowed hard. His skin turned a weird gray color."I do not have time to lie Thomas " I said. My voice was low and flat without any warmth."Seb it was not what you think " Thomas said, stuttering. He was pulling at his collar. He tried to put his glass down. His hand was shaking so much that the liquid spilled over the edge staining the mahogany table. "I was in a spot. The board…""You chose a side, " I said, taking a step forward. I did not yell. My body and the fact that I have a lot of money were enough to make Thomas feel like he was being choked. "By tomorrow morning you will not be able to use your stock options in Wolfe Industries. You will not be a VP anymore. I will make sure no compan

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   CHAPTER 50: THE SAFE TAMPERING

Sebastian The backup generators made a humming noise through the floor. The overhead track lights stayed bright, casting a white glare over the bedroom. I swung my legs out of bed and put my bare feet on the cold hardwood floor. I did not look at the blood on my chest. The skin stung where Elliot had clawed me. I did not care about that now. My eyes were fixed on the corner of the room. The steel panel of the built-in safe was open by two inches. The digital screen above the handle was completely black. The bright blue fluid kept dripping from the seam of the door and made a sticky tap-tap sound as it hit the white wood. "Sebastian," Elliot muttered from the bed. He tried to sit up. The linens were tangled around his waist. His skin was still pink from the heat cycle. His blond hair was damp and stuck to his forehead. He squinted against the lights, and his shoulders trembled as the cold air hit his bare chest. "Stay there," I said. My voice was flat. I did not want him moving

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   CHAPTER 49: THE DARK NEST

Elliot POV The darkness was really heavy. It felt like someone was sitting on my chest. I could not see my hand even when it was right in front of my face. The air conditioning had stopped working. It was really quiet. Everything smelled like wood and trees and my own special scent. "Sebastian," I said quietly. My voice was not very loud. It was like the sound just disappeared into the air. "I am here," Sebastian said from the darkness. His voice was low. It felt like it was vibrating against my ear. I could feel his chest moving against my back. His skin was really warm. My body started to shake. It was not because I was cold. I was still feeling the excitement from the ice rink. The power went out. My veins felt like they were filled with pieces of glass. I was not in control of my body anymore. I did not care about the people outside or the media. I just knew that we were locked in. It was dark. My body started to heat up fast. It was like a spark had been lit. My skin went f

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)    Chapter 48- Locking the Doors

Sebastian POV My rear tires screeched on the concrete of the underground loading bay. The black SUV jerked forward, its steel bumper just clearing the closing security gate. I saw camera flashes through the tinted window. The media had tracked us from the practice rink to the tower in under twelve minutes. "Stay down, sweetheart," I growled, reaching back over the console. My hand touched the fabric of his team's track jacket. Elliot was shaking. His skin felt hot like iron left in the sun. The air was thick with the smell of clover and boiling honey. He didn't answer. His fingers were locked on the doorknob, his chin pressed tight against his chest. I punched the key card into the private elevator terminal. The heavy steel doors opened with a hiss. I didn't wait for the vehicle to park. I killed the engine, grabbed Elliot, and hauled him out of the passenger side. His boots dragged on the concrete. He was out of balance, his head rolling back against my shoulder. "I have you," I

  • Married to My Rival Alpha(MM Romance)   CHAPTER 47- THE PRE-HEAT VERTIGO

Elliot POV I was skating behind the net when the edge of my left skate blade caught a deep rut in the slush. My knee buckled. I felt a sharp pain shoot up my thigh. I had to shove my stick against the ice to stay upright. The stick was vibrating badly under my palms. "Move the puck, El!" Nathan yelled from the slot. I snapped my wrists. The puck slid through the snow. It bounced a couple of times before it hit Nathan’s tape. Then he fired a shot into the top corner of the net. Pryce just stood there, watching me through his mask. He did not even try to catch the puck. The air in the practice arena was really thick. The fans in the rafters were spinning fast. All they were doing was moving cold air and old sweat around. I took a breath through my mouth. My lungs felt empty. I could not hold the air. I had a taste in my mouth like I had been sucking on a copper coin. My skin was wet under my chest armor. It was not normal sweat. It was cold and greasy, and it smelled like crushed w
