DAMON

~•~

The moment her lips touched me, I felt it.

The instant rage that sparked up in the depths of my soul. The wanton desire to grip her and pin her against the sofa. The burning anger that quickened the growth of my .

I could not be mistaken.

My Lycan was active!

My eyes flew open when she cupped my cheeks with her palms, and leaned deeper into me with an attempt to deepen our kiss.

I closed my eyes and parted my lips, giving her an easier entrance into my mouth.

Fuck! She tasted so good. Vodka and something else, something fruity.

My beast growled within me. I heard the sound, loud and clear. Even though I had not heard it in five years, I could tell the sound of my beast whenever and wherever I heard it.

He was alive!

Every bone in my body began to swell. As my hands wrapped around her waist, my phangs shot out, my claws ripped the skin of my fingers and displayed themselves.

The fire in the pit of my stomach burned even hotter. I could feel my bones start to snap slowly.

Was I…was I morphing into my Lycan?

Waves of panic and confusion flooded me at once. Whatever she was doing, whatever the kiss was doing had to stop.

I had not been able to speak or change into my lycan in five years, and it could not happen now.

Not in the midst of humans who had no clue we existed. I intended to keep it that way.

I should have stopped kissing her. I needed to, but the desire for her only grew worse.

I was suddenly aware of the scent of her jet black hair which cascaded down her shoulders and rested above her waist.

The aroma of her feminine cologne seeped into my nostrils, and my eyes shot open. Flashes of red enveloped my sight.

I was going to change and ruin everything I had come here for if I didn't stop kissing her.

Yet, I did not want to.

I wanted to press her against the hard sofa and take her there and then. I sought to spread her legs above my now erect cock, and fuck her until I had quenched all the desires she quickened in me.

My hands dropped to her curvy ass, and I battled the urge to squeeze her flesh. It was a lost battle, my desire for her overpowered my common sense.

I was confused, yet too turned on to think.

No woman had ever affected me in such a manner before, not even before I lost my Lycan.

She moaned erratically against my lips when I squeezed my palms into the skin of her ass. I was careful, my claws could not hurt her.

I turned and pinned her back to the edge of the sofa.

Shit! Did she have any idea how badly I needed to have her? It did not matter that I did not know who she was, or where she had come from, or the fact that I knew she was a fucking human.

She spread her legs apart, granting me entrance into her middle. My bulging crotch pressed against her thigh, and she moaned softly.

Beautiful. She sounded so fucking beautiful.

I lowered my head and pressed a kiss to the back of her right ear.

She laughed.

The sound caused my lips to freeze against her skin. A frown stole through my face.

What the fuck just happened?

I raised my head to look up at her. She was smiling.

She was fucking smiling?!

"That's it, big guy." She tapped my shoulders and gently pushed me away.

"Dare done. I would like to return to my table now."

"Excuse me?" I called out. I glared at her, watching how she pulled her legs away from me. She placed her feet on the ground, leaving me with a hard cock and a confused mind, racing faster into a whirlpool of more confusion.

She laughed and turned to me.

It was only when I caught the dim glitter in her golden brown eyes, that I saw she was drunk.

Molten rage flowed through my veins. I was furious at myself.

Surely, she had not come here to make a fool of me.

No. I chuckled dryly. She wouldn't dare.

"You get the drill too, right?" She added, still laughing.

"See, my friends dared me to kiss you, the handsome stranger in the bar. And that's why I came here. I've done the dare now, thank goodness, so I'd like to return to my table. It's a Tuesday night…" She started to rise to her feet.

"...I really shouldn't be out drinking. But fuck! Who cares?"

My nostrils twitched as I watched her. Irritation pricked at my bones.

A dare?! She kissed me because of a fucking dare?!

Was I some kind of joke?!

As she stood straight, about to leave, I caught her right wrist and pulled her backwards.

She turned sharply to glare at me. Her eyes dropped to her wrist where I clutched her firmly, before dancing up to my face.

"Didn't you hear what I said, mister? The dare's done. I have to fucking leave…"

"You would not be leaving this place. Not until you finish what you've started." I warned her. She must have thought it was some kind of joke, but what she had done, how I had felt when she kissed me, everything had been fucking real to me.

I will be damned if I did not understand exactly what was going on.

She was coming with me to my hotel room, and that was final.

I caught her orbs drop to my enlarged crotch. When her gaze flickered up at me, it was to eye me with her iris laced with fury.

"What the fuck did you just say to me?" I watched as a thin scowl stole into her soft facial features, before she resumed her speech.

"You crazy men that cannot handle fucking rejection when it's served in a golden plate. I would not be fucking you tonight, Mr. So go find yourself a hooker, or jack your silly ass off, because you would not be telling me what to do. No fucking man will!"

It was a clear case of transfer of aggression, I could see it clearly. A typical female thing to do.

However, she had gotten it all wrong.

She did not have a choice, and I wasn't any other man.

My lips spread out in a wide grin, while I continued to look at her.

"You've got it all wrong, little dove. I'm not just any man, and I could ruin your entire life if you defy me."

She scoffed in mock amusement, and glared at me.

"I'll like to see you fucking try." Angered, she spat directly into my eyes.

I revolted and pulled away from her.

"You're crazy! You hear me? Crazy!" She screamed at the top of her voice as she threw her heels off her legs and ran.

AJ was going to go after her, but I called him back.

"Stop." He stood on his spot.

I wiped her spit from my eyes with the back of my palms.

I watched her run out of the club with two females, dark skinned and red-haired.

I reclined into the sofa and watched her disappear into the night, a twisted smile on my face.

So, a mere female human had summoned the guts to make a fool out of me, and humiliate me.

I was going to make her regret the second she looked at me, it was a promise to her.

Damon Maddox always keeps his promises.

My phone vibrated on the table in front of me. I leaned out of the sofa, and reached for it. I pressed my thumb against my home button, and found a message displayed on my screen.

A text from an unknown number.

I clicked the message, and the app displayed in front of the screen, showing me the full message.

"It's done, Mr. Damon. FiveTech is all yours."

Mission accomplished.

    50. DAMON. The smell of flowers wafted into my nose as I walked through the garden. It was a bright sunny morning, making promises for a good day but wasn't a good day for me. I had come here to clear my head as it had been a tough couple of days for me. I'd been going back and forth with telling Iris the truth and I had decided to avoid her all together. But it hasn't been easy for me. Taking a seat on one of the stone chairs, I leaned back with both of my hands spread out. I thought about the meetings with the council elders, the problems I had to solve at hand and how they were all interconnected like they were being channeled from one magnetic field towards me. It was extremely overwhelming and for the first time, I was weighed down by everything happening around me. I turned at the sound of a vehicle cruising through the driveway. It was an unfamiliar sleek black car which surprised me further as I wasn't expecting anyone to visit today. As the car

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asked. "What's going on? Something wrong?" She slipped her fingers through her hair and gritted her teeth as she walked from one end of the room to the other. She finally stopped, her shoulders sagged. "It's my Dad ." Garrick went over to where she stood and softly cupped her cheeks. "And what about him? Did something happen?" Bringing both hands to her face, she pulled away from his hold and put her clothes in order. She pulled at the hem of her dress and zipped her pants back up before walking over to the couch and picking up her purse. She zipped it close and turned to Garrick with a sad smile. "I really have to go, Garrick." His brows furrowed and he walked back to where she stood and held her arm. "Why? What's wrong? You're not sa

She slipped her fingers through his soft hair. He closed his eyes and inhaled softly, loving the feel of her fingers running through his scalp. "I have missed you too, Enid." He said in the most beautiful baritone voice. Her insides melted. She sighed. "It's been so hard these few days, Garrick, you have no idea. • Married to the Lycan Monster    Forty seven

    47. AUTHOR POV Enid didn't miss the look of surprise on Iris's face. Though the beautiful lady had tried to conceal it with a neutral expression and a smile. This had her wondering if Damon had told her anything about the betrothal. Enid decided to stay quiet. It wasn't in her place to know or say anything. Iris blinked, her golden eyes dilating slightly. Her dark hair blew with the wind. She was a beautiful woman. Just as Enid was about to ask if Iris was okay, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She slid her phone out of her pocket and looked down to see who the caller was. She looked from Iris and back to her phone before clearing her throat sliding out of the swing with immediate effect. "Uhm, I have to leave, Iris." Enid said in a hurried voice. Iris sat up, her golden gaze widening slightly in surprise. She slid out of the swing, wiping off the crease from her gown as she looked up at Enid. "I hope all is well?" Enid laughed nervously and no

    46. DAMON. Fuck. Another fucking morning. I was awoken by the sound of a knock on my door. Climbing out of my bed, I walked towards the door and pulled it open. A guard stood before me and bowed. I arched my right brow, expecting an explanation for his early morning disturbance. "Alpha Damon, you have been summoned by the council elders and you are needed at the courtroom." Great. They finally decided to gang up against me. Nodding, I turned away from the guard and closed the door. Walking over to the other side of the room, I grabbed a t-shirt by the closet door, knowing fully well that I was being summoned for a particular reason. Well, I was ready for whatever was to come. Remembering how last night had been with Iris, I smiled. How she'd sounded so vulnerable. So delicate. Like a flower in the storm and I'd held her till she fell asleep with the only wish to protect her from anything. AJ met me on my descent down the steps, holding the

My eyes fluttered open and the first thing I did was stretch out my hand towards the other side of the bed. It was empty. I turned to see that the only traces of his presence in this room at night was the dip on the pillow and the slight ruffle of the bed. I sighed in disappointment, wishing I'd woken up to him. Well, I was asking for too much already. I turned towards the other side to see Danika's five foot nine frame stepping away from the window. "Good morning." She greeted in the politest tone she could muster. I guess. "Where's Damon?" "He left very early in the morning, ma'am." I shifted uncomfortably in my bed, disliking how she addressed me. I knew she was doing her job but I wasn't some old lady, waiting for death to come take her away. "So you know when he'l
