Chapter 6

Yao Yiyi felt immense pain in her heart, as though it was being ripped open by a knife. She could even feel the blood trickling down and dripping off of it.

Taking a deep breath, she forced down the rising surge of bitterness from within, then opened her eyes and looked at Ou Qingheng with bright eyes. "President Ou, why are you so afraid of me falling for you?"

Ou Qingheng lifted the blanket off himself, then got off the bed, exposing his naked body.

He picked up his clothes and put them on solemnly. He looked at Yao Yiyi, who was still lying on the bed, arrogantly and said, "Yao Yiyi, I'm not the man for you. Put away your so-called 'love', or I'll consider ending our marriage even sooner."

Getting off the bed as well, Yao Yiyi walked towards Ou Qingheng gracefully before wrapping her arms around his muscular waist.

"Don't you think you're a bit too heartless, President Ou? No matter what, I'm still your nominal wife. It won't kill you to lie to me sometimes." As Yao Yiyi spoke, her voice broke for a split second, making a sound just short of a sob. Ou Qingheng, who was buttoning his shirt, froze in his tracks as he came to the sudden realization that an unemotional girl like her had just cried.

A wave of guilt suddenly washed over Ou Qingheng. However, when he raised her chin, all he saw was a smiling face with absolutely no trace of sadness.

Thus, he replied, "As long as you don't play any games and stop having those messy thoughts, you'll stay as Mrs. Ou for some time. I'll also make sure that you get what you deserve in terms of money."

Yao Yiyi leaned closer towards him, then bit his chin lightly and grinned coquettishly. "Don't worry, President Ou. I know that I don't deserve a man like you. I was just joking just now."

"It's good that you know," Ou Qingheng replied.

This indifferent behavior of hers was what Ou Qingheng liked the most. There were two reasons why he chose to marry her in the first place: The first reason was that she looked a lot like Yang Kexin, and the second reason was that she loved money more than anything else. A money-oriented woman was the easiest to deal with, and this was why he felt at ease at making her his wife. He was also very satisfied as she had not caused him any problems in the past four years.

Still holding her chin, Ou Qingheng continued, "Just behave yourself. I've already asked my lawyer to draft out our divorce papers, all you need to do is sign them next week at the law firm. I'll be sure to give you a hefty amount of compensation fees."

Smiling, Yao Yiyi replied, "Then, I shall thank you in advance, President Ou."

Upon hearing this, Ou Qingheng kissed her aggressively on the lips, marking the start of another 'round'.

After another round of 'pleasure', Yao Yiyi had lost all her strength. She felt as if she could not even lift her finger as she nestled in his arms and said winsomely, "President Ou, will you carry me to the bathroom? I want to have a shower."

However, Ou Qingheng replied coldly, "I'm a little tired now. You can always shower after you wake up tomorrow morning. For now, just sleep."

A hint of disappointment flashed across Yao Yiyi's eyes. She had known Ou Qingheng for four years, but in his eyes, she was not his wife.

Without bothering to even spare a thought for how she felt, Ou Qingheng fell asleep soon after this.

Forcing herself to get up, Yao Yiyi hauled herself to her feet and went to the bathroom wearily. She took a hot bath and laid in the bathtub for a while. After washing away her tiredness, she stepped out of the bathroom and walked over to the bed, her body wrapped in a towel. Gazing at Ou Qingheng, who was fast asleep, with her troubled eyes, she let out a long sigh.
