Chapter 6.

Kate.

"Good morning, class," Our Math teacher said as he entered the room. He began to teach us. I stared at Kyle, who was listening attentively to the teacher. I smiled. I guess making fun of him makes him serious in class, if not, he would have been busy staring at Tina.

After two hours of a boring class, the teacher finally left.

"Oh my god, my ass hurts," I complained.

"You lazy freak," Kyle gave a teasing sneer, "Come here. Let me help you massage your ass,"

"Oh, my goodness!" I gasped at how blunt he'd just been, "Kyle, do I look like your girlfriend? Why will I allow you to massage my ass for me?" I couldn't help how heated my cheeks felt. Had to look away so he wouldn't notice.

"Hey, take it easy, little one," he chuckled, "I’m not blind. I know you’re not Tina. You are my best friend, Kate, and have I ever told you that you are more beautiful than she is? You are pretty, but I just love Tina too much. She lives rent-free in my heart,"

I opened my mouth in awe. Did he just say that I was more beautiful than Tina?  What if she heard him? I’m sure she’s gonna pick another fight with him, or worse, with me.

"Stop saying these kinds of words, Ky. I don't want her to hear what you just said,"

 

I tried to make him stop, but he kept saying how beautiful I was with my silky long hair. Through the corner of my eye, I see Tina walking up to us. She smiles so sweetly, showing all her white and brown teeth. She sure knows how to pretend the best. She's a two-faced white locust.

"Hello, Kate," she said, waving to me, "How are you?"

Drop the act, bitch. You ain’t the only one who can act and pretend like a good girl. I’m going to show who the real boss is.

"Hi, Tina!" I waved back with a billion–dollar fake smile, "I'm fine. Look at you, all dolled up and radiant,"  

She stared at me with disgust. I can feel the burning sensation. But she's no fool, as she tried her best to conceal it.

"I’m sorry about yesterday," she began with a fake sob, "It’s my fault. Please forgive me. I never meant to hurt you. I just want to be friends with you. You are my boyfriend’s best friend, and I also want to be your best friend,"

I folded my arms as I watched her act. She’s still trying to make it seem like I'm the one who doesn’t want to be friends with her. Painting me as the devil even in her fake apology. Yeah, typical Tina.

 

"I know I should not have approached you suddenly like that, but I sincerely want to be your friend, Kate," Her cries got louder. She began to intentionally attract the attention of our classmates.

 

Geez, I can't believe this. If Tina debuts as an actress, she's surely gonna make a career out of it. Look how convincing her fake act is. Even getting sympathetic stares from our onlookers.

"I’m sorry. If you think I'm not worthy to be your friend, I won't ever disturb you again," She sobbed, wiping her tears.

"Are you bullying Tina again?" One of our classmates asked, "Why are you doing this? I hate girls like you who pretend to be nice but seduce other people’s boyfriends,"

"Why can’t you just let the lovers be?" Another one yells. "Why are you trying so hard to separate them? Why can’t you leave Kyle and get yourself a boyfriend? Let them be, for goodness sake!"

Another classmate looked at me with pure hatred before uttering, "What a slut! I never knew you were this cheap!"

A guy walked up to where I was standing. "Kate, in case you need a man to fuck your cunt, I will always be available. Just let Tina enjoy herself with her boyfriend, and stop trying to put a stop to their relationship. You've done enough already,"

I stared at them in shock. The mean things they were saying hurts, and it hurts more that they weren't even trying to be discreet about it. I know this is exactly what she wanted. She wants everyone to see me as a bitch who wants to end her relationship with Kyle. I stayed there without uttering a single word. I just stared at the bitch who was still crying in front of me. It was hard to stay strong and not let their mean words make me break down in tears.

 

"Enough! Y'all should shut your trap!" Kyle screamed. "Who are you all to say those bad things about my friend? Are you all crazy?!"

Everyone fell silent.

Kyle grabbed the guy standing next to me by his shirt, "You regard Kate as a slut? You think of her as a low bitch? How dare you, punk?! Who are you to say those bad words to her? How dare you think of sleeping with her?!"

"Easy, Kyle," he said with a nervous chuckle, "I’m only defending your girlfriend. Don't you get it yet? Don’t you see that this bitch here is trying to separate you and your girlfriend? Why can’t she leave you alone? It's obvious that she wants your cock to fill her cunt, or are you also interested in her and want a piece of her body?"

"What did you just say?" Kyle snapped and began to beat him up. He was punching him so hard that blood began to rush out of his mouth.

"Kyle, stop!" Tina screamed. "You're gonna kill him,"

He didn't listen to her. He continued punching and punching him.

"I’m breaking up with you if you won’t listen to me," Tina threatened.

He was about to punch him again when his girlfriend threatened to break up with him. He immediately dropped his fist. He left the guy and grabbed Tina's shoulder.

"Ahh! Stop! You are hurting me, Kyle," she cried out, "get your hands off me,"

"Who the hell are you, bitch?" He asked, clenching her shoulder even more tightly. Tina began to cry.

"Do you think I don't know you asked them to do this? Do you think I didn't see you giving them money and asking them to ridicule Kate? When do you turn into this?"

"No, baby. It's not what you think-"

"Then what? Because I don't understand either.  All you ever asked for, Tina, I gave to you. And what did you give in return? You chose to hurt Kate like this. How could you? Who are you? Certainly, you're not the girl that I loved. So who the hell are you, you evil bitch?!" He shoved her to the floor.  

I was shocked. Was he drunk? This is Tina he was insulting. This is the girl he was ready to kill for. What changed? What is wrong with him?

"You always threaten to end things with me," he said, "There’s no need for you to end things with me because I will be ending our relationship with you right here. I don't ever want to see you near me, slut. I fucking hate you so much. I don’t want to see you near my house, or else I'm going to kill you. Do you understand me, Tina?"

I watched him in disbelief. Is this really the Kyle that I know?

He’s standing up for me. He chose me over his girlfriend, and he’s breaking up with her.

"Can you please stop standing there and let's go?" he said as he took my hand in his and led me out of the classroom.
