I felt like I had been stripped of every layer of integrity, I felt like I was worse than naked as they flung me back into the cell. I couldn’t hear him anymore, I couldn’t hear the uneasy growl from being here for too long that stirred in my chest. It felt like I had lost my limbs, parts of my body that nothing can replace, and it was all his fault! My insides churned with this burning degree of hatred and annoyance, how could he do this to me? Why didn’t he just let me die? This was worse than being reduced to a slave, this was hell on earth.

This was the lower echelon in the ladder, from being a predator to being a prey, I could be bullied by anybody. Even an omega who was strong enough could hurt me if they outmatched my combat skills. I wish I could see Kael, I wish I could grab a knife and sink it into his chest and watch as the life drains from his eyes. The door opened again and I stared at the guards who stood a few feet away from me.
