" What do you mean by that?" I turned to ask Valeria who seemed to be saying weird and strange things tonight.

She shrugged.

" I don't mean anything, Just asking if you ever considered that possibility. With everything happening, who knows what the mark is about." She replied.

My eyes scanned her face and Valeria managed my gaze, not looking away. Looking at her, you would be convinced that her earlier words meant nothing, like she was just speculating but I was not convinced.

" Don't you know what the mark means?" There's so much Valeria hides under that calm facade of hers. If it was in the past, I would have ignored her statement, just like I always do but something about today tells me that If I don't ask, I'll miss something important.
