30- Return to Blue Mountain

Sara’s POV

“Be nice to your sister,” Shay reminds Thomas, for the hundredth time. We are taking the kids to Ike, Sam, and Rebecca’s Ceremony.

“She still hasn’t apologized,” he reminds.

“We don’t care,” Shay and I say, in unison. “Be nice to your sister!”

“I really hate the whole unison thing,” Thomas reminds us, rolling his eyes.

“Then don’t piss us off,” we say in unison, making him cringe. Since Shay has been making the attempt to be a nicer person, we have reconnected as sisters. Even found a little of that twin magic we haven’t had since we were about 6.

Shay had her hysterectomy two weeks ago and has recovered wonderfully. She has tried the cuddle thing and she and Thomas both said it’s just not them. I was shocked she tried, but proud of her, too.

We found out yesterday I’m pregnant again. Shay was so excited for me. Not her fake excited, actually happy for me.

Both babies are finally sleeping through the night, so we parents have fallen into a comfortable, works for us routine.
