Raya's POV.

My knees buckled before I could understand what was happening.

The world tilted. My heart raced. No—it pounded like war drums echoing in a silent battlefield. My throat burned as if swallowing fire, my chest aching like it had been carved open by invisible claws.

Nyxara.

My wolf.

She was shifting inside me, her howl a deafening scream that split through my mind like thunder. I had never heard her so loud, so desperate, so... drawn.

To him.

To the rogue.

To Humphrey.

I fell hard. The cold stone floor scraped against my skin, but I barely felt it. What I felt was him. A pull so raw, so intimate, I couldn’t tell if it was blood or desire that surged in my veins. My vision blurred as heat bloomed inside me, a fire that scorched through bone and sinew, straight into my soul.

"Raya!"

A strong pair of arms caught me. Thalira, ever alert, ever loyal, was beside me in a heartbeat. Her hands gripped my arms tightly, her gaze flicking to my face in panic. “You’re burning up—what the

The chains were no longer tight. The guards had been careless, or perhaps too distracted by the Queen’s fall and the chaos that followed. Either way, I sat in silence, breathing in her scent that still lingered in the air—floral, wild, potent.Magic swirled around me.Soft fingers—familiar fingers—brushed against my chest. I didn’t have to look. I knew the scent, the rhythm of her breath, the curve of her jealousy.Eira.My fiancée.She didn’t speak at first. She traced my skin like she was memorizing it again—the way her hands grazed over my nipples, glided down to my abs, then up to my jaw. Her nails danced like whispers, but her chuckle was venom sweet. “You’ve gotten thinner... but stronger.”I stayed quiet. Still. Her voice dropped to a sultry whisper, and she circled me like a lioness in heat. “I missed you, Humphrey,” she purred. “You ran off... right on the night of our mating ceremony. Our mating night. Do you know how humiliated I felt?”I finally looked at her.Golden hai

*The Next Day*The dungeon air had grown colder overnight, as though the stone itself had deepened its chill to bear witness to what was to come. Flickering torchlight danced across the walls, casting twisted shadows that slithered between the carvings of ancient wolves and long-forgotten runes. The smell of damp earth and stale incense hung heavy, mingling with the metallic tang of blood and ritual oils.Around the enchanted stone circle stood ten werewolf elders. Their long, dark cloaks swirled in the drafts that wound through the chamber’s narrow corridors—each fold a sign of their solemn purpose. Their faces were unreadable: carved, ageless, and unwavering. At the center of the circle hovered two blood magicians robed in jet-black, half their faces masked. One held an obsidian needle between pale fingers; the other cupped a silver-bound bowl filled with wolfsbane. All it needed was Humphrey’s blood which would be mixed with wolfsbane to bound before being tested. And there, at

Raya didn’t breathe. She couldn’t.Not when he was standing this close. Not when her back was still half turned to the window and Riven—her Beta, her second, her storm—was standing behind her like a wall of heat and guilt and longing. She had just asked the most dangerous question."Do you care?"And his answer shattered the floor beneath her. “I ache for you…And that terrifies me more than losing her ever did.”Her chest rose and fell, a war within her ribcage. She blinked… then froze as she felt it—His hand… pressed against the window frame beside her. Then the other.Caging her in.Not rough. Not demanding. But decisive.Like his presence itself was a lock, and she… was his captive. For a heartbeat, she thought of stepping away.Of turning around and walking out.But her body betrayed her.She stayed.Frozen, trembling, unsure.Small.And yet… she had never felt more seen. She finally turned her head and after a few seconds—she turned back to him and found his eyes already on he

The coldness in the chamber wasn’t from the stones or the winds—it was from within her.Raya sat still, elbows on her knees, hands clasped tightly in front of her lips. The flicker of the torches along the wall cast restless shadows on the ground, mimicking the storm in her chest. She didn’t speak. She didn’t move. She just breathed. What are you doing, Raya? What is this… this pull?, she asked herself. She clenched her fists, remembering the sound—the sharp crack of the whip—the way it sliced through the air and struck his back. The way his skin split. The blood. The flinch. The stillness. But what haunted her wasn’t his pain……it was that for a fleeting moment—she had felt it too.The sting. The burn. The ache. And worse… her wolf—her powerful, ancient soul—had turned her back. Literally. Refused to look. Refused to speak.Raya had stood in the cell alone with the rogue and her silence. Why?He was an enemy.A murderer.A killer. And yet, somehow… he was under her skin.A knock echo

  • Moan Of An Alpha Queen   Chapter Sixteen.

The silence in the underground war chamber was deceptive—like the calm that whispered before a fatal storm.Vael stood in the center, his sharp features lit by the flickering golden flames of the sconces. He was motionless, but the very air around him trembled. Power wrapped around him like a second skin—dark, ancient, untamed. His shoulders broad, chest bare beneath the open folds of his tunic, and his black trousers soaked with sweat from a brutal training session that had done nothing to ease his tension. His jaw tightened as he stared down at the bloodstained map before him, a map that held every route to the Queen's territory.Raya.He spat her name like venom. She had him.Humphrey.Captured. Humiliated. Shackled.Vael's fist slammed into the table, cracking the thick oak surface. The guards at the far end of the chamber stiffened but didn’t dare approach. They knew better. When Vael was like this, his anger was not for the faint-hearted—it was lethal. He paced now, his presence
