"She needs to leave. You need a woman by your side. I do not think that woman would be comfortable living with your baby mama under the same roof." Dante advised, and I shook my head abruptly.

"She cannot leave. I have only spent a few days with them but I am already very attached to my daughter. I do not think she would do well with her mother being away from her. She is my blood—my daughter, no matter how I see it, and I want her to grow under my roof. No child of mine would be raised outside my territory." I informed him.

He simply watched me for sometime, then scoffed.

"You sound like the head of the Syndicate amongst the both of us." I could hear the way that his tone had changed and how he sounded very offended by what I had said, but I just shook my head.

"Of course not, Boss. I never meant to sound that way, I was only telling you how important family is to me. Not the girl, of course Aubrey or whatever her name is means nothing to me. Matter of fact…" I trailed off and
