Chapter 5. Meeting the Alpha king

Henry wasn't pleased with the fact that his mother had sent the young lady that he brought away with the two guards when he knew that the lady was slightly naked and she was not wearing any pants underneath the white towel.

 

His wolf growled, but he silently went back into the mansion, hoping that Camila was safe in the refugees' house.

 

Alpha Collins was silent as he watched his only son walk into the Grand Hall and finally make his way towards the dinner hall to join them.

 

Juliet and Madelyn weren't pleased with what they saw either, and they approached the dining table with their mother while the whole family settled in the dining seats to have something to eat.

 

"Henry, you don't seem happy. What's the problem?" Alpha Collins asked as he continued to observe his son's behavior.

 

"Nothing, father; I am fine," Henry casually replied, and his father didn't press on the topic.

 

Luna Ruth frowned as she settled beside her husband on the dining seat, and Alpha Collins stared at her and asked, "What troubles you, my mate?"

 

Luna Ruth stared at her son and then at her husband and replied, "I am not pleased that Henry brought that foreigner here."

 

"It's okay, my Luna. Let's not worry about the stranger, as we don't know her mission here. Whatever it is, we will find out tomorrow," Alpha Collins assured, and the dining hall fell into great silence.

 

"Shall we start eating now?" asked Alpha Collins, and Luna Ruth replied, "Yes, maids..."

 

Luna Ruth signaled to the maid to come closer and dish out their meals, and they started eating around the dinner table silently.

 

After dinner with his family ended, Henry stood up from the dining chair first and said, "Good night" to his family members who were still eating. He went back to his chambers on the third floor of the magnificent mansion, but he couldn't get the image of the beautiful young lady he had brought into his father's mansion out of his mind.

 

He walked to his bathroom to have a shower, and when he was done, he stepped out, wore his white robe, and then retired to his bed to sleep.

The following day in Alpha Collins Mansion, after the morning routine was over, Alpha Collins and some of the elders were all in the grand hall, and he informed them about the new foreigners that had come into their pack to become a part of them.

 

"Guards, go and bring the new foreigners here for their interviews and to know what brings them into our pack," Alpha Collins said as he sat on the royal head seat, signifying that he's the ruler.

 

The guards left for the refugees' house, and there were five other new captives aside from Camila White, and they were brought into the grand hall to meet with Alpha Collins.

 

Alpha Collins is still the ruling Alpha of the Western Wood Packs. Although he had ordained Henry as the new Alpha of their pack, Henry couldn't rule unless he already had a mate or a Luna to help him govern their pack. So, Alpha Collins Dominic is still the one ruling the Western Wood Packs until his son chooses a mate or finds his chosen mate.

 

"They're here, Alpha," the head guard informed him as he arrived outside Alpha's mansion with the six new foreigners.

 

"Let them inside," Alpha Collins responded, and the head guards ushered the six people inside the grand hall.

 

They were two males and four females, and Camila was one of the females. As they walked up to the front of the Alpha's throne seat, where Alpha Collins and his wife sat, they stopped as the head guard instructed them to.

 

"Yes, I hope you all know that you're foreigners in our packs, and foreigners are not allowed to roam around freely with us," stated Alpha Collins as his gaze fell on all the six new captives standing in front of him.

 

Henry Dominic was upstairs on the second-floor balcony, staring downward at Camila and the rest of the five captives standing in the center of the hall. He admired her in her long, oversized blue gown that swept the floor where she stood.

 

Camila was nervous, as she remembered how her father usually judged the defaulters in the Eastern Wood Packs. Now she was a defaulter, and she couldn't imagine the level of nervousness she was feeling.

 

She could feel the intent gaze of someone on her, and looking up, she met the gaze of the man who had brought her the previous night and also saved her from the pack's security guard, who was chasing her.

 

Camila didn't know when her cheeks blushed red unknowingly when she met Henry Dominic's gaze on her.

 

Luna Ruth was seated beside her husband on the throne seat. As the ruling Luna of the Western Wood Packs, she was seen as a queen, and her gaze burned brightly on Camila as she saw Camila blushing while her husband was speaking to the new foreigners like Camila too.

 

Luna Ruth's angry gaze burned at Camila again. As Camila also felt Luna Ruth subtly glaring at her, she gulped and listened attentively to the Alpha King speaking.

 

"Like I stated, it's a rule in our packs to freely welcome foreigners, as every life matters. But while welcoming the foreigners into our pack, it is a must to ensure the safety of our pack members. So, we created the refugee house, where all the new captives are kept and used as servants in our pack house. To enable the new captives' freedom and allow you to live freely in our pack, you must earn the privilege and show your honesty by serving our pack members and also in the pack house. But you must not show superiority above a Western Wood Packs member, or else you will be punished.

 

Starting with the confrontation first, we would like to know what brings you all, the foreigners here, to flee from your various packs and come into our pack to join us. And though we know that some of you are travelers who love to travel and visit different tourist centers, at the same time, some of you are defaulters in your packs. We know it's not easy leaving your pack borders, except for the fact that you've been banished.

 

Starting from you! What brings you here to the Western Wood Packs territory? And mind you, you shall be tested on your answer. If you are found guilty of telling lies, you shall be flogged and severely punished, and your treatment here shall be worse than death," Alpha Collins warned, as his yellow eyes burned calmly at all six foreigners.

 

Camila also gulped heavily as she heard Alpha Collins's final judgment.

 

"Are you ready to speak? Now you?" Alpha Collins pointed to the first foreigners, as they all wore similar oversized blue garments.

 

"Speak! You tell us your name and where you're from. And the reason why you were banished from your packs, or why you left your pack?" Alpha Collins questioned, and Camila could see the treasurer writing down all the spoken words that Alpha Collins said.

 

Camila stared to her left, and she was the third person. While the first person spoke, Camila realized that the first person wasn't from her pack but from the Northern Woods Pack. Also, the person said he was on a tourist visit and searching to learn more about plants.

 

"Hmm..." Alpha Collins hummed, and he stared at the next person that spoke. The next person was from the Southern Wood Packs, and the person said he stole multiple times, which was the major reason why he left the pack to find a solution.

 

"Hmm..." Alpha Collins lowly growled.

 

Camila could see Alpha Collins growling at the second person, who was a man. When the Alpha's gaze fell on Camila White finally, Camila gulped heavily, her forehead turned sweaty, and she became nervous and stammered to reveal her reason for banishment to them.
