Meeting the witch elders

I entered the science laboratory and found the black witches of Latan City seated on chairs arranged in a round table. With a smirk, I approached them, raising my hands dramatically. “All hail the black witches. I thought you’d never call.”

Geraldine scoffed. “It’s hard to believe that you’re actually Catherine’s daughter.”

“It’s also hard to believe that you’re witches. How many more teachers in this school are witches?” I quipped, raising an eyebrow.

“Yvonne.…” Susan cautioned, but Lucy intervened. “Let her speak, Susan.”

I smiled appreciatively. “Thank you, but I can’t help but wonder, how many students have been bewitched so far?”

Martha gasped in shock, but I silenced her with a sharp glare. “They aren’t complaining, Martha. It was just a question, so shut it!” I ordered.

Lucy walked up to me and grabbed my hair, causing me to cry out in pain. As quickly as she had grabbed me, she released her hold, wearing a sinister smile.
