Chapter 3 I Can’t Get Rid of Anna from My Mind

While Brian is still thinking about what happened a moment ago….

“How come you have such a gorgeous employee like her and didn’t tell us, Brian?” Kevin protested 

“Yeah right, she is hot, I shouldn’t let you go first Kevin, I definitely want her too!” Mark added

“Why are you silent Brian? Are you shocked with that? I can tell how lost you are! Don’t say you want her too!!!” Mark teased him

“No way dude, she is mine!” Kevin claimed and Brian still act calmly 

“Remember you have arranged engagement Kevin, and since you’re an adult, I don’t need to warn you to not hurting my employee” Brian scolded him

“Since when Brian Bolton care about his employees?” Kevin sarcastically mocking him

“She perform well in the office and if you fuck her up and she screw up the company project, I will make you pay!!!” Brian threatening Kevin. ‘Is that the reason?’ Brian also asked himself why he said that to Kevin.

Before Kevin could answer, Brian added “ I am hungry, let’s eat and order few bottles, I want to drink tonight”

It is the third bottle, Mark, Kevin and Ryan are chatting and laughing, while Brian seems lost in his own thoughts about Anna, he can't get rid of her from his mind. That woman definitely caught his eyes, he rarely felt like this, given his background who lived in NYC for long, surrounded by many beautiful women, models, artists, and daughters from billionaires in NYC, no one left a remark to his eyes, heart and mind like Anna do, not even Rosie.   

Rosie is beautiful, but she is the typical goddess daughter of a rich family, she is elegant in her way. But Anna, the woman in front of him hours ago, looks professional in the office but could go crazy outside the office. She even has a sexy tattoo and smoke freely, like doesn’t care about others' judgement. Brian couldn’t help but be curious about this woman.

In Sausalito.

Anna parks her car nearby the restaurant. She waited outside, didn’t bother to get out of the car. 5 Minutes later, Daniel left the restaurant and walked toward her. 

“Hey, thanks for the ride, I owe you a date I guess” Daniel teased

“It’s okay, I want to leave anyway” Anna waved her hand

“No way, given you like the Bay Bar so much, something must have happened? Met an ugly guy or did you have a fight with other bitches?” Daniel ask curiously

“Nah, the opposite though” Anna said while she drove the car leaving the area. 

“So we won't go back there? Shall we go to the Y Bar?” 

“Yeah that’s better” 

Anna drove the car faster than usual and within 10 minutes they arrived at Y Bar. 

“What is this Ann?” Daniel puzzled 

“I just want to have a proper talk in a quiet place. You know me, I don’t like car talks”, Anna dragged Daniel arm to the bar. 

Anna put attention on safety driving. After what happened 5 years ago in the car crash, she didn’t dare to do other things inside the car while driving.

“What?” Daniel couldn’t believe it. Anna just told him that she flirts with Kevin, her sexy boss’ best friend. 

“It was a good kiss though. He is sweet too. But I couldn’t help when I found Brian Bolton also in there”  

“What is his reaction?” Daniel curious 

“He was shocked! I don’t know why. He didn’t recognize me. Well yeah I am no one, so I dare not wish him to recognized me anyway” Anna laughed

“Oh girl, you look different. I won’t blame him. You look nerdy with your office suits, but hot as hell when you out to the bar” Daniel explained

“Hahaha shut up!” Anna laughed hard

“So, what next then?”

“I don’t know, Kevin said he will contact me and have lunch while he visits my office next time.”

“So, Kevin then. No more Brian Bolton?” Daniel teased Anna

Anna recalled the first day she saw Brian walk to the meeting room. He is hot and she couldn’t help imagining him above her, a sex scene imagination she only dare to share with Daniel, her best friend.

“Who am I pursuing Brian Bolton?, maybe only in a dream. Haha…… Kevin is okay too, but will see” Anna mumbled.

Brian took a sip on his glass when his phone began to ring, it was his sister who was calling him. ‘It is late in NYC, why did she call him?’ Brian quickly answered it. 

“Brenda Bolton, what is this about?” Brian snapped 

A loud voice from the other side filled his ear, “Brian I have a fight with mom, can I come in? I don’t want to be in NYC. Let me stay there for a while, okay?” Brenda begged 

“No. Get back to the house and apologize to mom. Don’t you dare to come here!” Brian angry. 

Brenda suddenly cut the line, made Brian roll his eyes. 

“What happened with you little sister?” Ryan asked

“Like you don’t know her” Brian ignored Ryan question 

Rian just smiles, he hopes Brenda is in here with Brian. He likes Brenda but he didn’t dare to pursue her since he values his friendship with Brian, afraid if Brian will disapprove of him and Brenda and ruins their friendship. 

It was midnight when all of them left the bar, heading to home. Brian says goodbye to his best friends and agrees to meet up for lunch tomorrow to talk about business and several projects. In the intersection, when he stopped his car under red light, he saw the previous Red McLaren in the bar passed by in front of him fast. It cross his mind in second, he thinks to catch the car and try to talk with the owner if he/she wants to sell it to him, but he is too tired and not in the mood to drive fast. He headed to his penthouse and thought to call Smith in the morning to find out about the car.

1 am at the penthouse.

Brian tossed his body to the bed after taking a shower. He remembers about Anna again and he suddenly smiles, he will make Smith investigate that woman for him.
