Chapter 10

At the Huo family estate.

In the exquisite and luxurious living room, two men with completely different personalities sat on the sofa to rest.

Compared to Ian\'s crooked, twisted and strange posture, Jamess, who was holding a computer, had a posture straighter than most military soldiers.

Ian couldn\'t help but shake his head as he saw Jamess\' posture. He thought he was just built differently than most ordinary people.

A servant came to report to Jamess.

\"Master Jamess, the second daughter of the Su Family is here.\"

After hearing it clearly, Ian stood up and looked over to Jamess. \"The second daughter of the Su family? Isn\'t that the chick that from the countryside? Your fiancée?\"

Jamess glanced at him nonchalantly, and Ian immediately went silent but he still looked at him with interest.

Jamess slowly raised his head to look at the servant. \"Bring her in.\"

Ian was curious to see what she was like, but he decided to value his life more and avoid making Jamess angry again. \"I\'ll go upstairs for now!\"

As soon as Ian disappeared, Marian came into the living room.

After entering through the door, Marian looked around and found exactly who she was looking for.

She slowly walked towards Jamess. She stood opposite to him, her tone was cold, \"Can I sit down?\"

Jamess removed his eyes from the computer screen and his gaze landed on Marian.

As on the day of the funeral, she still wore that white T-shirt, but replaced her black slacks with tight jeans.

The azure blue skinny jeans perfectly showed the curves of her two slender and straight legs.

She had a very beautiful face, but her breathing was abnormally calm, and there was a hint of rebellious sharpness between her eyebrows and eyes.

This made him even feel that they were very similar to each other.

Jamess agreed and Marian sat down slowly.

Jamess retracted his cynical eyes, his face was indifferent, and his voice was low and cold with a hint of fatigue, \"Your purpose?\"

Marian didn\'t plan to play around with him and she went straight to the point. They were smart people, there was no need to drag anything on.

She placed the documents she had brought on the computer that Jamess had just put down, and her voice was emotionless.

\"Read it, sign it and I\'ll leave.\"

Jamess glanced over, his eyes were caught by the document that had the title of \'Engagement Agreement\' written on it.

He read the contents of the file again and he suddenly smiled. He had signed many contracts and agreements before, but this was a first for him.

This woman was too courageous, she wanted to use twenty percent of shares to buy a year of marriage with him. He even thought she was too generous.

\"What if I disagree?\" He replied with a question.

The man\'s gaze towards Marian looked nonchalant, but in reality it was extremely cold and dead serious.

Marian didn\'t seem surprised by his reaction.

Her delicate doll-like face still had that cold expression, as if nothing could cause her to twitch.

\"I\'ll make you agree,\" a quiet determination could be heard in her cold tone, but a confident smile was on her lips.

Jamess leaned back slightly, he put his entire back on the sofa. His eyes were half-squinted at Marian, with a faint smile that looked non-existent.

He replied, \"I\'ll wait and see first.\"

Marian nodded slightly, stood up, and left the estate.

Jamess\'s deep, black eyes had a touch of playfulness as he saw her slender back slowly disappear.

After she left, Ian got down from the stairs.

Ian instinctively reached for the documents that were on the coffee table.

Suddenly a loud scream could be heard. A thin toothpick was firmly embedded in the back of Ian\'s hand.

Ian quickly withdrew his hand, Jamess had a few rules of his own. Curiosity almost got him killed.

He turned his head and smiled to please him. \"Master Jamess—\"

Before he could finish speaking, Jamess had already stood up with his things. \"You can go now.\"

Ian stared at Jamess\' direction, he silently rubbed his chin for a while in thought. The toothpick was still in his hand.

Everything was getting weirder and weirder, does Jamess actually like her? Did he really leave better women in favor of a girl from the countryside?

He thought he was just living in a dream world, but the toothpick in his hand reminded him he was awake.
