12. Hurt Again

As Lucas and Rachel fell silent, Edmund was secretly touched by Sky's attention. He felt guilty for failing to control his emotions. Sky fell and felt sad because of it.

“Hey, you don't need to cry. I'm fine. A blow like that means nothing to me. Now, what about you? You fell earlier. Are you hurt?”

While Sky checked her elbow, Rachel was stunned. For some reason, she felt that Edmund's concern for Sky was truly sincere.

"Oh, I'm hurt again," Sky muttered before letting go of Ed and checking another elbow. “This one too.”

Ignoring the hand that was still gripping his collar, Edmund straightened up in his sitting position. Carefully, he rolled up the sleeves of Sky's hoodie until he found the wound.

"Does it hurt?" he asked quietly.

Sky shook her head. “Not really, it just stings a little. I carry plaster and red medicine in my bag. I can treat it after this.”
