Chapter 7

　　Pain shot through Oliver’s hand. Ran kept his foot on his hand, but reduced pressure on it as he spoke.

　　\"This is a masterpiece of Italian designers. Have you seen the initials ‘FL’ on the ring?\" Ran finally took his foot off so that Oliver Shi could see the initials on the ring.

　　\"It stands for ‘false love’,” Jonathan said smugly. ”I chose it for you.\"

　　Oliver Shi stared at the ring he had held on to for three years. He did not look at it carefully, but he already knew that the letters F and L were engraved on the back.

　　He thought that the two letters stood for “forever love,” but never really thought about it. Lucas had shown him so much love at the start, it hurt to know that it was never real.

　　So this ring was a joke, after all. He had held on to it as a keepsake, from the time that he thought they were in love and happy.

　　Oliver forced himself to grin. \"So what if Huo proposed to me with it? What does it matter to you?\"

　　\"Of course, Lucas is willing to do anything for me.\"

　　He already knew what Jonathan was trying to say, but Oliver let him draw it out.

　　Yes, Lucas would do everything for Jonathan.

　　Whatever Jonathan wanted, Lucas was willing lie and cheat to get it for him, like a loyal dog.

　　\"Do you hate how you look now?\"

　　Oliver’s appearance apparently pleased Jonathan. He pulled Oliver up, as though he now wanted to make up and be friends.

　　The next second, he twisted Oliver’s arm and taunted him, \"I didn\'t know your brother is cowardly, still waiting for you to save him.\"

　　\"What did you say?\" Oliver broke free and pushed him down. \"Lucas Huo promised me he would treat my brother well if I stayed--\"

　　\"Oh he was going to have your brother treated,\" Jonathan Qiao interrupted him, laughing cruelly, \"but I stopped him half way through it. I think Yu looks better with his legs broken.\"

　　\"Jonathan Qiao, I\'m going to kill you!\"

　　Oliver Shi wanted to punch him, but as he reared back, Jonathan Qiao cried out. In an instant, he turned soft and weak. He tore at his hair and cried out, \"Oliver, Oliver, please don\'t hurt me! I apologize to you! I should not dominate Lucas, and I should not have returned home!\" he screamed in a high-pitched tone.

　　Oliver Shi stopped and turned around. Lucas was angrily walking towards him. The next second, he felt a sharp pain as his former lover slapped him hard.

　　Lucas slapped him so hard that he fell down. As he sat up, he heard a buzzing sound on his ear.

　　As Oliver looked on, Lucas and Jonathan hugged. For the first time since he’d been held captive, he was really pissed. \"You slapped me for no reason!\"

　　\"No reason!\" Lucas Huo pulled Jonathan Qiao up and took him out of the room. “If you’re strong enough to throw punches, then you’re strong enough for the surgery.\"
