Chapter 26

"Nice!" Jeff shouted as he applauded Furi who couldn't even shoot a ball in the ring.

He stopped for a moment and threw the ball to the mischievous young man.

"Why?" he said smiling as he sat down on the floor.

"Or why? You give up right away?" he said, standing up and approaching the girl.

"If it's just a fight, I'm sure I'll be better than you right now." He replied but she just grinned at him.

"Then let's try." After he said that, Furi raised his head and looked at him.

"You're just kidding aren't you?"

"I thought you were better there?"

"I mean, won't you regret your decision?"

"Well, I'll only answer that when I see the results." He said and he was suddenly grabbed by a kick on the foot of the girl who was still sliding, so Jeff quickly fell to the floor.

"I told you, the game you chose is no joke." Furi smiled at him as he stood and just glanced at the young man.

"You left me there, didn't you?" said Jeft and suddenly he stood up. She bends her knees and waits for the right opportunity to hit the young man in front of her.

A smile appeared on the side of Jeff's lips and he watched his serious face.

A few moments later, the girl let out a strong kick, but she immediately dodged it. Furi repeatedly punched him in the face, but not a single punch hit him.

Jeff smirked again and quickly pulled her by the hand, then her back sank into his chest as the young man's hand wrapped around her waist.

"Well, it's not bad anymore. That's my answer to what you asked me earlier." He whispered in the girl's ear. Furi seemed shocked and couldn't believe that he was almost hugging her in their position. That's why his heart beat faster again and he was nervous.

"How is that? I look like the winner again." He said it to him.

Hey, Fury! wake up! straighten up and why are you stuck there suddenly stiff? remember, never deceive any man. Maybe you're forgetting what Matt cheated on you? sailing it in his mind. That's why he suddenly came to his senses and punched the young man hard in the stomach.

Jeff quickly let go of him and groaned in pain as he sat on the floor.

"What's wrong with you girls? Why do you like to hurt?" said the young man as Furi approached him and was confused about what he was going to do.

After a while, the entrance gate suddenly slammed and both of them turned around. They were shocked to see Matt looking angry, as he walked towards Furi.

"How did he open the gate?" he was curious about the young man.

"Actually, it wasn't really locked. It was a prank!" smilingly replied to him. The girl couldn't believe what she heard and turned to Matt again.

"Furi, let's talk." This is what he said when he got close to the girl.

"Hey, Mr. School president. Why are you always timing when the two of us are together? Are you stalking us?" Jeff asked Matt. But he just looked at her and ignored her.

"Whatever you say, I'm not interested." Furi responded strongly to him.

"But still we need to talk." He said at the same time he grabbed the girl by the wrist and forced her with him. Jeff got up and just smirked on his lips.

"Hey! Mr. President! Are you deaf or are you just turning a deaf ear? Didn't you hear what he said? He said he wasn't interested in what you had to explain! Why is that so hard for you to understand?" he shouted. Matt let go of the girl for a moment and was about to approach Jeff but Furi immediately stopped him.

"Stop it and you too Jeff." He said firmly and suddenly turned to Jeff. Matt didn't pay much attention to the young man and suddenly he grabbed the girl by the wrist again but forced her to let go of him.

He was stunned for a moment and turned to Furi in surprise.

"You don't have to force me to come with you. I can walk alone." He promised the young man with a raised eyebrow and he walked out of the basketball court. Matt followed him immediately, while his two eyebrows met.

They both reached the empty lot. Where there wasn't much hanging around and there weren't that many people either. Furi stopped walking for a moment and suddenly faced the young man.

"You only have ten seconds to say what you have to say. I'm busy and I have a lot to do." The girl said to him as he looked at his watch. Matt didn't speak immediately and just stared at Furi.

"Ten, nine.." he counted.

"You're not even going to ask me?" he asked as the girl glanced at him.

"About what? eight,"

"Don't you know yet?"

"Which one? seven,"

"The one about Trixie and I."

"Ahh.. is that why you came here? six,"

"Furi." He called the girl loudly.

"Five."

"It's true that Trixie and I came between us, but that's in the past."

"Four."

"Furi, I hope you believe me."

"Three, two, one! time's up!" he said at the same time he turned his back and walked away. Matt immediately stopped him and held him by the arm. He stopped walking for a moment and glanced at the hand that was holding him.

"The ten seconds are up. We don't have anything else to talk about." He made a weak promise but the young man still didn't let go of him.

"I like you." The word suddenly came to his lips. Furi seemed surprised and couldn't believe what he heard.

"I said, I like you." He said again. At that moment, it was as if the pounding in Furi's chest suddenly got stronger and he was stunned by what he heard. Matt gently pulled her forward and suddenly she looked into his eyes.

"I said, I love you Furi. I'm feeling like this right now because of you. I'm afraid that someone else might take you away from me and I don't want to see you and Jeff together. I know it's too early for me to tell you this now . But, as each hour and day passes, I fall more and more for you. I know I shocked you, but I won't force you to like me too." Matt said to him and then he let go of him.

"I don't care about any of my past anymore. What's more important to me is what I have right now." It added. After that he turned his back and walked away from Furi. The young woman's gaze followed him, still thinking about what she had heard.

A few moments later, a wide smile appeared on his lips. He ran to Matt and hugged him tightly from behind. The young man suddenly stopped walking and was shocked when he hugged him.

"I like you too, Matt." He said that brought a smile to the young man's lips. He removed his hands for a moment and faced the girl.

"What did you say?" Matt smiled at Furi.

"I said, I like you too." He replied with a sweet smile on his lips.

"Wait a minute, is what I heard right or you were just forced?" he was curious.

"Actually, I've been wanting to tell you that for a long time but I'm just scared." He said weakly while bowing his head. Matt held him by his chin and lifted his head.

"Tell me that again." He said as they stared at each other.

Lord, is this just my dream? if it's all just a dream, can you just not wake me up? I'm already in happily ever after. I don't want to ruin and waste this beautiful moment for both of us. I feel like I'm the happiest girl in the world. You can imagine that the person I always prayed to you before and the one I always insisted to you that I wish was my soulmate, now likes me.

Am I that strong for you, Lord? Was I a hero in my first time? or did I save many people before that is why you grant me my requests? no matter what my personality was in my previous life, I am still grateful. Because the person I was only dreaming about before is gradually falling for me. Furi floated in his mind and a smile appeared on his lips again.

"I like you very much, Matthew Xenos." He said in front of Matt and he hugged him tightly.

two weeks later, Matt and Furi are officially dating. The issue spreading about Trixie and Matt almost disappeared suddenly, since the young man announced and posted on his f******k account a photo of him and Furi happily together, holding hands.

The news about the two dating also reached Jeff immediately. So he didn't go to their class for almost a week. He felt like his heart was breaking every time he saw or met Furi. It happened too fast and he didn't think that the two would get along right away.

He still intended to court the girl and ask her to go on a date with him, in case he lost her in their dare. But on the other hand, he also thought that even if he confessed his love to Furi, he would still choose Matt. Because only he is the content of his heart and mind.

So when he was absent from school for a week, he went back to his old habits.

One day, even though he was walking, he stopped for a moment when he passed through a narrow and small alley.

He noticed Eri in a corner surrounded by five men who also seemed to be from their school, because of the uniform he was wearing.

He didn't hesitate to approach it and inquire about the commotion going on.

"Hey! guys!" he shouted and it immediately ran towards him.

"Look, my son is still alive." Said the fat man with healthy arms and holding a baseball bat.

"Hey, it's you again? What sin did you do to them? Did you also step on one of them, like you did to me before?" Jeff said to the girl but she just grinned at him.

"Did you really manage to laugh? You seem to be able to knock these bats off by yourself!" he added as he walked closer to the girl. He stopped for a moment in front of her and winked.

Eri was surprised and just raised an eyebrow. The young man blocked her in front of her to protect her. But it is not hidden from his knowledge that he himself is the leader of the Soda gang. That's why instead of stopping him, the girl just let him.

"Can you run fast?" this is a weak promise to him. Eri didn't answer right away, so the young man turned to her.

"As long as I count to three, run right away okay? Do you understand me?" he said at the same time he just grinned and glanced at his serious face.

"Hays! take care of it!" he grumbled and grabbed the girl's hand. Eri seemed shocked and looked at his hand that was holding her tightly.

"Get ready." Jeff whispered again, but before he could count, he suddenly grabbed the girl's hand and started running.

The young man was shocked and had a trace of surprise on his face, while he was still following behind her and running hand in hand.

Meanwhile, Eri's men are chasing them and they are still holding them two by two.

"Tell me, what did you really do to marry them and they are so mad at you?" he asked the girl.

"They're not my type." He replied with a smile on his lips. Jeff just frowned and turned behind them for a moment when he noticed that the whole soda gang was chasing them.

"Susmaryosep! which one of them did you reject? We'll definitely be going to the cemetery when they catch up with us!" Jeff said and he ran even faster while still holding the girl's hand. The girl is not afraid that they might catch up with them because nothing bad will happen to them. Rather, he even enjoys being with her.

---------------

In the big blue drum, where Eri and Jeff hid. That was the only way they could think of to escape the soda gangs. They both fit in it, even though the space is a bit tight.

They face each other. The girl's chin rested on Jeff's shoulder and a smile appeared on her lips. While listening carefully to the situation outside.

After a while the soda gang arrived. They stopped right at the drum where the two were.

"There you are! This is where we will search!" ordered one of their colleagues. They dispersed immediately, when one suddenly stopped and turned to the blue drum.

His attention was focused only on the drum as he slowly approached the hiding place of the two.

Jeff seemed to feel a strong sense of dread when they heard his heavy steps towards them. He just swallowed deeply and suddenly made the sign of the cross.

The girl immediately realized that someone was coming to their location. That's why he secretly took the cellphone from his pocket and sent a message to their group.

"We're here now inside the drum. I'm fine, leave! right now!" he said in the chat.

His men read it immediately, even the man in front of them quickly turned and left the place.

They all left and went back to their hideout. Eri grinned and put her cellphone away again.

"Looks like they've left." The young man said at the same time he turned to Eri that their lips were about to touch.

The girl was also shocked and stared into his eyes. They seemed both surprised and stunned.

Why is my heart beating so fast? and why am I nervous? Eri said in her mind.

For a few moments, the young man's eyes immediately avoided him and suddenly he stood up. They came out of the drum and noticed that the soda gang was no longer around.

"Hey, didn't you forget to tell me something?" Jeff asked as he turned to the girl. Eri seemed confused by what he said and there was a trace of surprise on his face.

"Look at this! It's like he doesn't know yet. Are you really that kind of person? If I'm yours, stop pretending, it's not for you. There you go!" He said annoyed and turned his back on her. The girl's gaze followed him and said,

"Thank you!" after he said that, the young man stopped walking for a moment and turned to him.

The girl ran to him with a smile on her lips.

"I said thank you." It's a promise again. Jeff just grinned and turned away from her again. The girl frowned and bowed her head.

"Faster!" it suddenly said to him. The girl seemed to revive immediately and quickly approached him. A sweet smile appeared on his lips again, as he looked at the young man.

"On the way you look." Jeff told him weakly and firmly while still holding both of his hands.

Eri just smiled and focused her attention on what was going on. Just for a few moments, he once again caught a glimpse of the young man's face who also happened to be looking at him. He was shocked and immediately looked away from her.

"Until later, your neck will be broken." Jeff said to her when he suddenly pulled her by the arm which surprised the girl. A motorcycle passed by and it almost hit him, if the young man hadn't overtaken him, he might have had an accident.

"Hays! the width of the road has passed here! hey! fix your driving!" he shouted at the motorcyclist who passed by. The girl couldn't believe it and just stared at him.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"Y-yeah." He responded nervously. The young man immediately let go of him and continued walking again. The girl was not able to follow him right away, instead she was stunned and held her heart.

Jeff seemed to notice that the girl was not next to him, so he stopped walking and looked around them.

Is this what they say is love at first sight? do people in love feel the same way? because it's delicious and the feeling is light.

I thought I could only watch such scenes in shows. But it's true that when you're in love with someone, it's like you're rising up in the clouds and you're suddenly blank. You don't know what to do and it's like you're going crazy with him. Sailing the girl in his mind, while still holding it in his heart.

Jeff turned to him for a moment and was surprised to see him.

"Hey, what are you doing there? are you praying?" it said to him.

"Omg! isn't that Furi and Matt?"

"So, is it true that the rumor that the two of them have a relationship is true?"

"Are they real?"

"I thought Trixie was his girlfriend? What happened and why is Furi suddenly his girlfriend?"

There were various whispers and judgments around the two of them as they walked inside the campus holding hands. Furi was restless and kept bowing his head.

"Don't pay attention to them. As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you." The young man knew him poorly. He just smiled but his mood was still not calm, because of the eyes looking at the two of them.

Matt held her hand tightly to reduce the apprehension she felt. After a few moments, they suddenly stopped walking. Furi raised his head and his eyes widened in shock when he saw Trixie in front of him.

"Tri-trixie?" he said nervously as he let go of the young man's hand. Matt frowned and took her hand again while Trixie's gaze followed it.

"What do you need?" the young man asked him. His attention turned to Matt again and a soft smile appeared on his lips.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt her." He replied and suddenly turned to Furi.

"Hi, I'm Trixie and you are Furi Apparente, right?" he introduced while extending one of his hands to the girl to shake hands. He smiled at her and was about to touch her but the young man suddenly stopped him and pushed Trixie's hand away.

"Matt!" Furi looked at him annoyed. The girl simply grinned, but only Matt noticed the twitch of her lips.

"Well, I think he has already told you what I was like in his life. But don't worry because I'm not planning anything bad for your relationship. Besides, I even want to congratulate you !" he said but Matt just looked him in the eye and left.

"Matt!" Furi called to him.

"Be patient. Let me talk to him." He said to his ex-girlfriend and was about to follow the young man but suddenly he grabbed her arm and suddenly looked at her.

"Be careful. According to his gesture and his stares at me, it seems like he has not completely forgotten our past. Get to know Matt better first. If you don't want to be like me." This whispered promise shocked him. He let go of her and walked away from her. Furi's gaze followed him but it was only for a moment because Matt suddenly grabbed him by the arm.

"What did he tell you?" it's curious. He seemed nervous when he turned to the young man and immediately avoided him.

"Nothing. I didn't hear much of what he said." He just responded. Matt didn't ask her again, instead he took her by the hand and led her to their classroom.

After he left, he couldn't help but feel apprehension, fear, worry and wonder at what Trixie said to him.

After all, almost two months have passed. Ever since she answered the young man and they became two. She still doesn't know a lot about her boyfriend and she also has some questions she wants to ask, but she's just too lazy.

All day his mind was wandering everywhere. He also couldn't get rid of the words Matt's ex-girlfriend said to him.

Apparently, it's a puzzle to him now. How deep was the relationship between the two back then and why was his anger so strong for Trixie.

It was almost afternoon and their class was over. Furi immediately stood up and left the classroom. He was shocked to see Matt standing on the side and waiting for him to come out.

"W-were you still there?" he was nervous and could not look directly into the young man's eyes.

"Just right." He responded weakly. He approached Furi for a moment, to take his bag and carry it. But suddenly it got away from him and avoided.

Matt was just surprised by the girl's reaction and there was a trace of surprise on his face.

"What's wrong?" he was curious.

"Nothing. I'm just not used to someone carrying my bag." He just said and walked away. The young man immediately followed him and approached him again.

"I'll just carry it." He said as he took the book he was holding, but Furi pushed him away and pushed him against the wall.

Matt couldn't believe it and just cringed when he saw the fear in the girl's eyes.

"Furi, are you okay? Is there something wrong?" he asked again but she immediately avoided him and continued walking as if nothing had happened.

"I'm sorry, I'm just not in the mood right now and there's a lot going on in my mind." It answered him.

"Is that because of Trixie?" after he said that, the girl stopped walking for a moment and he approached her.

"What did he really say to you earlier and you're acting like that?" he asked as he grabbed Furi's shoulder and made him face him.

"Furi, what do you want to know? Why don't you just ask me directly? You know what I hate the most, don't you? It's the one that worries me." He promised. The girl raised her head for a moment and looked at him.

"I want to know, why did you two break up?" he said with a trembling voice and nervousness in his chest. The young man did not answer him immediately and just bowed his head.

"Why, you want to know about that? Isn't what we have now enough?" he asked.

"Don't worry. I won't force you if you don't intend to answer my question." After saying that, she turned her back but Matt quickly stopped her and held her by the arm.

"He's the one who broke up with me. He said he's not ready to get serious and he can't divide his time with studying. He has many dreams in his life and so do I with him. But I've never been a part of those dreams it's her. I'll admit it still hurts me when I see her, but that's about it. I don't have any feelings for Trixie anymore, you're my love Furi." He said and the girl suddenly had tears in her eyes without realizing it.

I don't know if I will accept what he said. He is still hurt but he doesn't love anymore. Should I still believe him or should I give him another chance to prove what he says? but he seems to be telling the truth. It's sailing in his mind.

Furi wiped the tears from his eyes and then he faced the young man.

"I trust you." The word suddenly came to his lips, Matt hugged him at the same time. At that moment, he still felt fear in his heart but he chose to trust it. Besides, they have only been in a relationship for two months, he is sure that he will know more about his true personality.

After that day and the day that passed, the relationship between the two of them was still good. Their love for each other grew stronger and Furi realized that she was right to trust the man she loved.

He also found out from Matt's friends that it was actually Trixie who hurt and left him before. But also according to her boyfriend, everything in the past between the two of them is gradually becoming irrelevant to him. The bitterness and pain in his chest disappeared every time he saw the girl. Maybe the wound in his heart has healed and he has forgotten what they had in the past.

He is now happy with his new girlfriend Furi. It always makes him happy and laugh. He also experienced the true pity he was looking for in Trixie. The kind that no matter what problems you go through, he will never let you go.

Sometimes the two of them fight and argue, just like normal relationships. And sometimes the two of them argue for more than a week, but no matter how long it takes, they still don't let go of each other.

Until they entered the 4th year high school. Where both of them have been busy studying and they don't have much time to spend together or at least date somewhere. After the day's study, they just go straight home and rest. Or maybe Furi just walks home alone, when Matt still has projects to finish.

Sometimes it was Matt who came home alone without the girl. Because they still have activities to finish, so they can only do text and chat.
