The morning started like a pretty regular, peaceful morning.

Absolutely nothing seemed like it could go on with the pretty and fluffy looking white clouds, light blue sky…

Then the illusion of perfection shattered.

“Dad? Dad! Come and see the news.” Elena yells frantically, running into her parent’s room and startling them awake.

“It’s so early in the morning Lena, what is wrong?” Frieda asks, turning on the light with sleep coating the bags and lines around her eyes from weeping so much these past week and few days.

Rowland opens his eyes groggily, “What’s the cause of the screaming? Is Grandma dead?”

“No, grandma is fine…”

A momentary look of disappointment creases his face before he asks again disinterestedly, “Then what is such an emergency for you to want to scream the whole place down today?”

“It’s… It’s Daniel!”

Frieda immediately snaps fully awake. “What happened to my Daniel? Where is he? Is he here at home?”

Elena shakes her head.

“Talk damn it!” Rowland snaps, springing to

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   Some Cracks

The bar was dim, heavy with cigar smoke and the low hum of jazz spilling from hidden speakers.Rowland Flanagan hated the smell, hated the chatter, hated being seen here at all. But Alec had chosen the place, and Rowland wasn’t in the mood to argue. Not after the disgrace he’d been forced to swallow at the inauguration just a week before, one that he’s only just recovering from.He spotted Alec in the corner, lounging like a man who owned the entire world. His suit was tailored to perfection as always, dark hair slicked neatly back, a tumbler of whiskey swirling lazily in his hand. No one would ever suspect the shady dealings the man had in the plam of his hands with the way he always looked clean cut and normal. He looked up the moment Rowland approached, a slow smile tugging at his lips.“Rowland Flanagan,” Alec said smoothly, rising just enough to clasp his old friend’s hand. “Still standing tall after all these days of no contact. I was beginning to think you’d stopped calling bec

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   First Meeting, First Mission.

The glass-paneled conference room gleamed under the late morning sun, every surface spotless, every eye in the room waiting for the meeting to actually begin. Cecelia did a quick observation of everyone in the conference room as she stepped in, clutching her folder of notes tighter than she meant to.With every step she took to the chair at the head of the table, she reminded herself over and over that she has to show them all, that she is not just a figurehead but can be pretty capable to be their Director. The heads of department were already seated, from Marketing, Operations, Finance, and even down to Logistics. A few glanced at her directly, others tried not to, but she could feel it all the same.Even she is still adjusting, how much more them.Cecelia set her folder down at the head of the table, at the Director’s seat. For a heartbeat she hesitated, but then she pulled the chair out and sat down with quiet certainty.“Good morning,” she said. Her voice was calm, carrying just

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   Show of Authority

That blatant and unhidden disrespect continued every day of the week until the day of the rescheduled meeting for Friday.Cecelia stepped into the office building and all the way down to the lobby, with her arms full. Her handbag slung awkwardly over one arm, a slim transparent folder tucked beneath her elbow, phone balanced precariously in her arm’s grip. While Clara walked briskly ahead of her, clicking her heels like she was the one leading the meeting instead of the Director herself. All she had in her hands was her phone and nothing else, leaving all of the other effects of the meeting in Cecelia’s hands.Out of nowhere, the phone slipped from Cecelia’s grasp and clattered to the marble floor. The sound echoed loud and sharp down the spacious reception. She froze for a split second, shifting her folder and bag so she could bend sideways to pick it up.Clara didn’t even pause in her stride, rolling her eyes. She momentarily glanced back once, eyes flicking to the phone on the floo

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   Secretary in Heels

Cecelia stepped out of the elevator with her chin high, blazer pressed sharp against her shoulders, and her heels clicking smartly against the marble floor. Every step echoed down the hallway like a reminder that she’s not a secretary anymore, with all the greetings left and right. The plaque gleaming at the end of the hallway with her name imprinted on it was good proof as well. But, knowing this still did not alleviate the weight at the lower part of her stomach. She spotted Clara, her newly promoted secretary immediately, leaning back in her chair outside Cecelia’s office, long legs crossed, and her phone in hand as she tap-tap-tapped away on its screen. A lollipop stick jutted from the corner of her mouth like some kind of badge of honor.Clara didn’t bother to rise, she didn’t greet Cecelia either and neither did she even look up, it was just as though it was another random gust of breeze blowing past her.The two interns standing awkwardly nearby exchanged glances, shifting thei

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   Marry Me!

She was leaning against the arm of the sofa, her red hair slightly tousled from him running his hands through it earlier, her arms wrapped around herself as if holding in the same storm of emotions that twisted inside him.“Gosh, staying away from you, being a gentleman can be quite draining.” He whispers as he went to stand by the large mantel, sneaking glances at her however.“I didn’t ask you to be a gentleman though. I want you too, so damn bad.”One of those glances, her eyes met his, soft and understanding, the kind of look that didn’t need words to convey everything they both felt.Reid didn’t hesitate. He closed the distance between them in two long strides, his hands finding her waist, pulling her up against him with a quiet desperation.Raees melted into him instantly, her arms sliding around his neck, her fingers threading into the short hair at the nape of his neck. She pressed her cheek to his chest, feeling the steady, familiar thump of his heart beneath her ear, the war

  • Seducing My Husband's Arch-enemy!   Remember the Good.

Dinner between the four of them had stretched to be longer than expected, plates pushed back, mostly empty, glasses half-full, and the scent of the cooking still hanging warmly in the air. For once, Reid didn’t feel like the silence in his home was waiting to swallow him whole. Tonight, the house actually felt… alive with these couple’s presence, bickering comfortably as though they are his parents.Melissa stacked the plates despite Raees trying to take them from her.“Don’t argue with me,” Melissa scolded lightly, wagging her finger. “You’re the guest in this kitchen today, Raees. Go sit with your man before I tell him you’re bullying me.”Raees laughed and threw her hands up. “Fine, fine Mum. But don’t let Dad see you carrying everything at once or he’ll give us all a lecture about proper back posture.”From the living room, Jacob’s voice carried in, gruff but amused. “I heard that. And I’m not wrong. You bend the wrong way one time and suddenly you’re walking like an old goat for
