Chapter 2

I have been on the run for the past two weeks, only stopping when I needed to. The flight I took ended up landing in the state of Georgia. I didn't want to stay there. I was too scared and nervous that somehow Mathis would check the flight logs and find out which one I took. So I ended up taking a bus to South Carolina.

I have been living in the local motel for a week, hiding in my room. I only went to the stores that I could get to on foot. I didn't have money to buy a car; I needed a job, and I have yet to find a place hiring. I went to the Corner Grocery on my second day here and picked up a few things to eat and drink for a couple of days.

I also picked up hair dye.

I decided on dying my hair. I changed from my natural, dirty blonde hair to black. I picked up contacts and threw away my glasses, okay not really threw them away, but I shoved them inside my suitcase. I felt that I needed to change my appearance, just in case Mathis filed a missing person's report about me.
