Cora’s POV

“I will take a shower first,” he said and did not even look at me, he left me there and get inside the bathroom silently. I bit my lips, trying to stop the tears that want to come out.

I can’t blame him if he thinks that I’m being unreasonable, and if we end up not talking to each other and putting awkwardness between us then it’s all my fault. I stand and almost stumbled, my knees still trembling.

I don’t want him to see me like this, I don’t want him to see me more in a miserable state. From the very start, it was always him who watch me in an undesirable state.

“Mom, where did you go?” Clyde who looks sleepy opens the door.

Instead of answering his question, I kneel down to face him, “where are you going?”
