Chapter 36

SKY POV

We left shortly after my little breakdown and drove straight back home.

I don’t know what it was about Samantha’s grave that always had me sobbing like a mess, but every time I went there, I came back looking like a train wreck. Although I had been the one who insisted on coming here, I was so beaten up I couldn’t drive, so Kayden had to do the honors and drive us back.

Besides, he looked nice behind that wheel, maybe more nice than I could ever be in my own car. I was damn jealous.

Back at the grave, he didn’t talk much, he listened to my ranting and absorbed all I had to say, then proceeded to hold me tight in his arms when I broke down into million pieces. He didn’t have to say it out loud, but he accepted everything I had to say. Yes, things became a little too emotional for me, but that's what it has always been like. so I just settled in my seat and continued sobbing lightly while he maneuvered his way back home.
