That Night

"Are you with her right now?" Edward Phillipe rose from his seat and walked to the porch. He glanced at his grandpa, Louis Phillipe who was on the wheelchair and accompanied by a personal nurse that Edward hired to take care his grandpa 24/7 while he was busy to manage his business.

He kept his space in a few edges from them while he was on phone with Bernard.

"Yes, Mr. Edward. I drove her to stay in the motel. She fell asleep before telling me where she's living."

Edward bit his lips. "You sprayed her with the magic liquid that Ruth invented?" He dilated his pupils as he felt surprised and curious at the same time. He giggled as he covered his mouth with a hand. "My Gosh, make sure whether she fainted because of its smell or fell asleep, Bernard!"

"I will, Mr. Edward. It seems that she fainted..." Bernard inhaled. He rested the face of Clara to the other side. He leaned her head on the opposite side from his driving position carefully as he intended not to awake her unintentionally.
