MANUEL'S POV

For weeks after my recovery, Samantha had seemed distant.

She was always jetting out to a new destination with Rick while I headed to work or to the pack house.

It didn't seem like anything would change that much until it eventually did.She had begin locking herself inside our room whenever I was around or sneaking off whenever I had slept off.I usually awoke hard and hot for her only to find that she wasn’t on her side of the bed.

On one occasion I had followed her trail down the stairs when I overheard her talking to someone on the phone but I was too tired to eavesdrop on the lovely conversation she was having with them.

Martha had also chosen this time to be away.
