VERONICA'S POV

It wasn’t long before a nurse walked into the room. Simeon quickly tried to remove his hand from my chest, but I held it firmly, giving him no chance to withdraw. The nurse gave me a curious look before speaking.

“Miss Stacy, there are some people outside waiting to see Mr. Grant. Should I let them in?” she asked, her tone polite.

At first, I was tempted to say yes, but I decided to check for myself who they were. Peeking through the door, I saw them — a group of reporters with cameras, microphones, and eager faces. My heart skipped. The media.

“Praise God,” I whispered under my breath. If I had foolishly allowed them in, Simeon would have known I was the one who broke the news about Emma’s alleged involvement in his stabbing. That revelation would ruin everything I’ve been working so hard to achieve.

Turning back to the nurse, I spoke calmly, “Tell them to wait. I’ll address them shortly.”

I took a moment to compose myself, then stepped outside to meet the reporters. A

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 11: YOUR HONOR, I OBJECT TO THE POPCORN

VINA'S POVMy name is Vina, and I never imagined I’d be standing in court, facing my own husband like an enemy.I sat there watching Kate— yes, my friend Kate— defend Scott, my cheating husband, like her life depended on it. I could feel my heart pounding as she stood up confidently, addressing the judge like she owned the room."Your honor," she began, “I can boldly say I am disappointed in Mrs. Lovina for the so-called evidence she’s presenting in this court today. What if the voice recording she claims is from my client’s friend, Ivy Brown, was generated by AI? Your honor, nothing is real anymore. This can’t be enough evidence to prove that my client, Mr. Scott Norman, isn’t the owner of the design."I blinked, stunned. My jaw almost dropped. Kate? Defending him? Of all people?Kate is not just a brilliant lawyer— she’s my friend. Someone I’ve admired for years. She’s good at what she does, no doubt. But seeing her speak like that… against me… it hit different.I never expected Kat

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 10: "WHO NEEDS ENEMIES WITH A SISTER LIKE MINE?"

VINA'S POVEver since I left my house — correction — the house I built with my cheating husband, I’ve been spending my nights at my mom’s motel. The place isn't fancy, but it's peaceful. No lies. No betrayals. Just old wallpaper, the smell of coffee, and the occasional creak in the floorboards. And most importantly, I’m ready for court tomorrow. The case that could change everything. But something’s been gnawing at me. A tiny voice in my head repeating Ivy’s last words from yesterday over and over again:“Tell Alfred I hope he enjoyed my invite this morning.”What invite? What was she talking about?I’ve been trying to brush it off, to focus on tomorrow, but my mind won’t stop running. Was Ivy hinting at something deeper? Was Alfred involved with her in a way I didn’t see? Are they dating? Was it all part of some twisted plan? I didn’t want to believe it, but questions just kept rising like steam from boiling water. It’s not that I’m jealous — okay, maybe a little — but come on. My tw

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 9: "SNATCHED HUSBANDS & STOLEN DESIGNS"

VINA'S POV Two days from now, Alfred Hunter must stand in court to face the accusation Scott hurled at him. Right now, we have zero evidence to knock down Scott’s claims. Absolutely nothing. If Scott wins this case, Alfred will lose everything— his business, his peace of mind, and, worst of all, his hard-earned reputation. I can’t let that happen. But the only person who holds the key to the proof I need is the same person who caused this whole nightmare in the first place:My twin sister, Ivy— the ultimate husband-stealer.All I want from her is a simple confession. Just let it slip— “Yes, I took Alfred’s design.” If I can get that on record, I can turn the tables in court. With that admission, Alfred might stand a chance. But the trial is only two days away, so I have to move fast. I canceled my morning meeting with Alfred— he’ll understand— and headed straight for the lion’s den: Ivy’s new digs. Can you believe she’s living in my house now? Wh

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 8: MODEL BEHAVIOR, CRIMINAL INTENTIONS

ALFRED'S POVAfter that dinner at the Chinese restaurant with Vina, I couldn’t get her off my mind. She reminded me of Ivy— same face, same eyes, same damn smile. If I wasn’t staring directly, I wouldn’t know the difference. Physically, they were like copy and paste. But in attitude and lifestyle? A whole world apart. For all the years I dated Ivy, I never knew she had a twin sister. Not once. She never mentioned it. Heck, she barely talked about her family at all— always complaining how they never loved her. She used to say the only thing that loved her was art. That’s what pulled me closer. Her passion. Her dreams. It matched mine. She always talked about becoming a model, and I believed in her.Even before I launched my fashion brand, LUXRA, Ivy had already started showcasing herself like the queen of the runway. She believed in the vision. She knew my dream before I even drew it on paper. And when I finally launched the brand, guess who made the first

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 7: STEALING SCOTT (AND MAYBE ALFRED TOO)

IVY'S POVScientists say that whoever comes out first when twins are born is the firstborn. Well, Ivy — that’s me — I came out eight minutes before Lovina. So, yes, technically, I'm the big sister. But trust me, life never treated me like one. Vina always had everything — the luck, the status, the money, and the love. Me? I always got the leftovers. If Vina picked gold, I'd be left with dust. If she found a prince, I got the frog. And when it came to love... oh, don't even get me started. Finally, finally, I’m getting the kind of relationship I’ve always dreamed of. And guess what? It’s with Vina’s husband— Scott Norman. Yes, you heard right. Her husband. The one I’ve secretly wanted from the very first time I laid eyes on him. If they end up getting a divorce, that man is mine. And I won’t even pretend I feel bad about it. I’ve waited too long.Last night was wild. I mean, the best sex ever. Scott and I were fire together. Every moment felt like magic

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 6: "SIXTY PERCENT MADNESS"

VINA'S POV I sat there, staring at Alfred. The silence in the room was thick, like I could cut it with a knife. Suddenly, Alfred let out a deep breath and broke the silence."Can I ask you a question? And please be honest," he said, his voice low and serious.I nodded my head quickly. "You can," I said, my voice surprisingly calm even though my mind was racing.Honestly, I wanted to pour myself a glass of wine so badly just to calm my nerves, but I held back. I didn’t want him to get the wrong idea. Drinking in front of him might make him think I wasn’t taking things seriously, and that was the last thing I wanted. He looked me dead in the eye and asked, "Do you know who I am since last night?"I blinked and shook my head. "I don’t. I just discovered today," I replied.Alfred gave a small, bitter smile. He didn’t believe me. I could tell."I don't believe that," he said. "I know a lot about you Normans. You people are deceitful, selfish, and wicked."Ouch. That stung, but honestly, I

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 5: "NOT SO ACCIDENTAL CLIENT"

VINA'S POVI was deep into a case file, trying to make sense of the mess someone had dumped on my table, when I heard voices outside my office. Loud, familiar voices. And then I heard his voice— Scott. My heart froze.Scott barely ever showed up at my workplace. It’s not like he didn’t know where I worked— he just always acted like my career was some hobby I picked up to pass time. So, what changed? What brought him here today, like a storm brewing at the edge of a quiet sea? Before I could process that thought, he pushed the door open and walked in, face like stone, jaw tight, eyes burning. I swear, if looks could kill, I’d be six feet under."I heard you're taking the Luxra Company case. Is that true?" His voice was sharp. No greetings, no courtesy, just pure accusation.I shut my laptop gently and leaned back in my chair, trying to keep calm. I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of seeing me rattled."This is an office, Scott, not a local market," I said coolly. "So sit, and

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 4: NO CHILL ZONE

VINA'S POVThe sunlight hit me straight in the face through the open window, and that was what dragged me out of sleep. My head was pounding like a marching band had set up camp in my brain. I groaned and sat up slowly, squinting around the unfamiliar room."Where am I?" I muttered, confused, dragging the sheets off my body and standing up carefully like the floor might move under me.Then... flashes of last night hit me.The bar.The drinks. That guy...I clutched my head and gasped. “Did we have sex?” I asked myself, my voice just above a whisper. The worst part? I couldn’t remember. That frustrated me more than the headache itself. Before I could process anything further, my phone rang. The sound felt like a hammer slamming into my skull. I grabbed my bag and pulled out the phone. Isabella— my ever-so-efficient assistant."Morning, boss!" she chirped.I winced. “Morning,” I replied, sounding half-dead.“We have a new client this morning,” Bella said.I rolled my eyes and hissed. “T

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 3: FIRED UP AND MAKING OUT”

ALFRED'S POVYou know, I’ve always been smart enough to avoid having a business rival like Noir Elixir. I mean, they’re one of the biggest fashion labels in the world— especially here in New Jersey. People worship that brand like it’s the Bible of fashion. Me? I just wanted to build my own thing quietly. But somehow, here I am— stuck in a huge mess with them. They’re accusing me of stealing their design.Crazy, right?I own LUXRA, a fast-rising fashion tech brand. We use AI to create custom pieces for elite clients. Yeah, it’s still new, just growing. But I have a big vision for it. I believe in this company more than I’ve ever believed in anything. But now, Scott Norman— CEO of Noir Elixir— is suing me for theft. And all of this wouldn’t be happening if Ivy hadn’t left me for Scott.Yep. That part still stings. The design in question? I created it. It came from my brain, my sketches, my software. Back when Ivy and I were dating, she knew all about it. I trusted her with everything— m
