Jung Goods.Ae Ra’s POV.After waging war against CEO Jung three days ago he didn’t bother me with any tasks for the rest of the day and the days after. Seonbae felt bad about helping me since it was of no use but it was not his fault, we both played into CEO Jung’s trap. It won’t be that way anymore. From now on I will always have a head start, I nodded to myself as I pushed the room door open.“Morning, Ae Ra.” Seonbae greeted warmly. I looked at my watch to see if I was late but I wasn’t “Morning, Seonbae, what time did you get here?”“Six.” He answered chirpily.I stopped in my tracks, six a.m.?! Work doesn’t start until 8! Was CEO Jung going to somehow use this against me and give me another strike? I whipped my head towards his office, how can he be so… evil?!“Looking for me?” CEO Jung asked behind me. I jumped, startled by how close he was to me. “N-no… sir.”“Then, were you trying to take a peak, Miss Lee?” He eyed me suspiciously. His stark black hair was slicked back drawin
Jung Goods.Ae Ra’s POV.The elevator doors opened but I didn’t want to step out. What was he going to make me do today? Is there possibly anything worse than making me run around making coffee and carrying documents from thirty years ago that he didn’t need? I shuddered thinking about what sort of evil plan he had for today. Mondays were the worst but my gut feeling tells me this might be the worst Monday yet. Hang in there Ae Ra, It’s a new week if you can make it through you’re hired. “Good morning, Seonbae.” I greeted brightly as I walked into our office.“Good morning, Ae Ra. You look happy, I’m relieved to see you smile after what happened last week.” He sighed pitifully. That’s right, Seonbae witnessed all my humiliating attempts at making a single cup of coffee and watched me go back and forth several times last week but couldn’t assist me because of our crazy boss. “It’s okay, these things happen.” I laughed it off and sat.“Oh, Ji Won wants to see you.” He stared at me shy
Jung Goods.Third Person.Ae Ra had no plans of showing the slightest emotion but she couldn’t help herself when she came face to face with Mr Yun. It’s been three years since it happened but she’d never forget how that incident tormented her. She clenched her fist and looked away from him, it’s only for a few more minutes, Ae Ra. She reminded herself as she tried to calm down.Ji Won smirked at the opportunity that lay before him. With a charming smile, he offered a hand to Mr Yun. “You are doing a marvellous job, Mr Yun. By all means, take pride in it.” Mr Yun shook his hand vigorously. “Thank you, sir. I knew you’d understand me! Not everyone understands our pain or appreciates our efforts but as long as you do, that’s all that matters.” He laughed loudly. “You’re right, Mr Yun,” Miss Min So stated sweetly. “Some sit all day or make calls and call it a day then there’s us going out there every day, fighting on the front lines for the company.” She took a step towards the CEO. “Isn’
Jung Goods.Ae Ra’s POV.My hand hovered over the door handle, since I started working here it has been increasingly difficult to come in for work. I shut my eyes tiredly. CEO Jung made me feel uneasy, the way he stared at me two days ago was still fresh in my memory. He called off meeting the rest of the team and was out of the office for the rest of the day. In a way, I was glad to not see him after what he did to me. I admit his apology seemed pretty genuine but I still hadn’t forgiven him. “What are we waiting for?” Baek Jin whispered next to me. I jumped away from him, “Seonbae! Stop sneaking up on people!” I groaned irritatedly and opened the door.“B-but… but I called your name.” He came in after me. “You were too engrossed in your thoughts to hear me call out your name.” He defended calmly. Was I that deep in thought? “My mistake, I apologize, Seonbae.”He waved it off, “There’s no need to be sorry, Ae Ra. You should never have to apologize when you did nothing wrong.” He smil
Seoul National University Hospital.Third Person.“Thankfully you were rushed here on time. You are mostly fine but we’re going to monitor you for the next few days. You can go home after the weekend, sir.” The doctor bowed at the young master.Ji Won sat up in bed and bowed at the doctor, “Thank you.”As the doctor left, Mrs. Jung and Him-Chan walked in. Mrs Jung was informed by Baek Jin about Ji Won’s collapse at the office. Usually, her driver would have brought her but he was not available so Him-Chan brought her in his stead. She sighed as she looked at him. “How could you eat something with nuts in it? You should have been more careful.” She spoke softly.“What are you doing here?” Ji Won asked coldly. “Didn’t I tell you to live your life outside of my sight? To look the other way no matter what?” He hissed at her.She gripped her purse tightly. “I know you hate me, but how can you tell me to look the other way when you could have died? You know how bad your allergy is.”“As you
Lie Blu’s Apartment.Ae Ra’s POV.“What do I do? It feels like I’m losing my mind!” I wailed in distress.“It’s okay love, you’re okay. I'm here now,” Ha Na pulled me into a hug.She gave me back rubs and back pats until I calmed down enough to tell her how awful the past two weeks had been. "This Min So chick, what does she look like and which department does she work for? I have a thing or two to say to her.” She cracked her knuckles and her neck.“She’s not worth it.” I waved her off with a smile.“Yeah, but she needs someone to talk sense into her. How dare she start such a nasty rumour about you?” Her eyes narrowed into slits. “Does she not know how dangerous rumours can be?” She spat angrily.I sighed as I looked away from her. “It’s nothing new, I’m sure it’ll die down as time passes.” I shrugged and feigned taking a sip from my cup.I’ve been dealing with rumours since I was a child, there’s nothing anyone can say that can truly hurt me. No matter how hard Min So tries, she won
Jung Goods. Third Person.Ae Ra squatted by the side of CEO Jung’s office so she could take a peek at him secretly. She furrowed her eyebrows as she stared intently at him. His face was blank, void of any emotion as he focused on his computer. She knew that no amount of staring could solve the mystery behind the sudden change in his personality but she couldn’t stop staring. To think she’d make it to Wednesday without him picking on her a single time was not how she imagined the week would go. She did not comprehend why or how he changed so drastically. In all her twenty-seven years of living, she has never seen a person change, ever. Aside from her usual responsibilities as his secretary, she hasn’t done anything crazy– not even coffee! Well, that could be because she was terrible at it but he didn’t even look at her when she made reports or asked him questions. It felt like she was invincible and she wasn’t sure how that made her feel.“What are we looking at?” Baek Jin whispered
Lie Blu’s Apartment.Ae Ra’s POV.As the drama I’m watching comes to an end, my doorbell rings. I’m met with the back of a tall slender man. With eyebrows creased in confusion at the appearance of this stranger, I opened the door slightly to ask who he was.He turned, giving me a clear view of his tired, impatient face. He had spiky black hair, a long face with a thin moustache and big round green eyes. His lips were set in a straight line as he looked down at me. He was quite tall, at least 6’1, not as tall as CEO Jung or Baek Jin but tall nonetheless.Behind him were four petite women in uniform, each carrying a box with them with their heads held high. I redirected my attention to the man in front of him and took a proper look at him. “Ah... Monsieur Jules! Please come in.”Chairman Jung said he’d be coming for the fitting of my dress. That was the reason I got excused from work for the rest of the week. I’m not sure what he told Baek Jin but he didn’t sound too happy when he told m
