Chapter Thirty Four

My best friend Simon had asked me what I wanted for my birthday two years ago and I'd jokingly told him I wanted a motorcycle but he got me a Power Bike instead. When mom saw it, she forbade me from ever riding it and it's been in the garage since then.

"You have a motorcycle?" Arian looks shocked.

"It's actually a Power Bike." I shrug. "It was a birthday gift from my friend Simon."

"Did you want it?"

"I wanted a motorcycle."

"Is there a difference?" She looks confused.

"It's heavier than a normal motorcycle and it's a combination of the speed of cars and flexibility of bikes." I reply. "At least, that's what he told me."

"So... Have you taken it out for a ride before?"

"No."

"You'll kill us!" She gasps.

I laugh. "I'm sure it won't be so hard to learn. It'd be like riding a bicycle."

"I shouldn't say yes to this." She mutters.

"But you're going to." I grin.

"I'm crazy, so yeah. Let's go."

"Do you have a leather jacket?"

"No."

"I'll get you one. Change and meet me outside." I
